Checking in from San Diego. I've used II for two trades into DVC (using another timeshare/vacation club) ... but have not traded against DVC.

Resorts I've visited in/around your area:
  • Worldmark Marina Dunes
  • Worldmark Angels Camp
  • Worldmark Clear Lake
Of the three, I know that Marina Dunes is listed in our World Passport collection. Nice units, beautiful location.

I'm in Northern California.....Concord. Will be using II in May to go to MEXICO!! (It was the one week/two bedroom certificate incentive for the add-on we did in August).

Hi I am also from Northern California, SF Bay Area, El Cerrito. I have not used my Disney points with II yet, but I have used other timeshares to trade with II in the past. Went to Hawaii 3 years ago and have a trip planned this summer but not through II. No prolems at all.

Another misplaced So. Californian here from San Diego (Go Chargers!) but living too far east and too far from the water, but closer to my happy place! ;)

My family and I live in Los Angeles.

I'm kind of surprised, I thought there would be more Californian DVC owners.

Haven't traded out of DVC yet...Someday. :D

Another Northern Californian here, but I can't help with the II thing.

All I can tell you is that if you trade *into* DVC they charge you a "resort fee" of $100 in addition to the transfer fee. Since this is supposed to cover the busses, early entry, etc. I think it's a garbage fee, I just haven't gotten around to writing DVC to tell them I don't think they should charge people this fee.

Another California boy(well, if you count 40 as being a boy) :teeth: Love Disney, thus why I joined DVC(and the fact that the wife likes 1 bedrooms when travelling).

We are from CA as well - all from O.C., now we live in Riverside (hi neighbor Ken). I have not used II before, but I have found it easier to work deals with friends and/or colleagues who own in other places (like Hawaii). I don't have to pay those extra fees and request 2 years in advance. For those that have used it though, it is nice to hear any stories about the resorts. :smooth:

Hi!
I'm From California, too. (Can you tell by my name?) We're less than an hour away from Disneyland, and are heading up there tomorrow for an overnight stay at the Grand Californian. (Love that DVC! We're using points) We've used II before, but never thru DVC. We tend to use our points for Disneyland hotel stays and the Concierge collection, when we're not using them at DVC resorts.

Enjoy life and great vacations!
