I'm planning a trip to Disneyland for May 13-19th.

The current specials on tickets and airfare seem to be ending at the end of April.

Does anyone know if or when specials for May will be announced?

There probably won't be any. I believe peak season officially starts the first part of May so ticket sales aren't a difficult thing for them to do. However, I did just book on Saturday with getawaytoday.com for the 13th to the 20th and got two free adult 3 day park hopper passes. I actually needed 5 day so they only charged me for two days. That's about the best deal I have seen.

I wanted a room at the GC...everyone was sold out except for getawaytody. Costco was, AAA was...didn't check with disney travel, but it didn't matter because the price I got was $400 cheaper than the next lowest quote so I was happy with it. Plus when I booked, the lady said they only had 3 more standard view rooms available for that time period. I suggest if you want to stay on Disney property you don't waste another day, they are almost full, otherwise you should be ok.

Thanks for the info.

I checked out the getawaytoday site and then compared that to the AAA and booking directly through Disney.

AAA was $316 cheaper than Disney on what I was looking for (6 days at the DLH and 6 days in the park for 2 adults and one child). getawaytoday was about $60 cheaper than AAA, but I went with AAA since I like dealing with people face to face when I can, and the AAA office is close by. Also, I wanted the pool/resort view at the DLH, and it wasn't clear from the getawaytoday site if their quoted price was for the standard view or the pool view.

It does look like a good site though, so thanks for the reference.

Have a wonderful trip. One nice thing about AAA besides the face to face contact is that you get those unlimited fast passes that most of us envy.

I agree, I wanted to go through AAA for the unlimited fast passes since we are staying at the GC, but they were sold out for the dates we are going. :(

Thanks folks. Our last trip was about 15 months ago, and we booked that directly through Disney reservations. It was also for 6 days at the DLH.

It'll be interesting to see if AAA handles everything as well as Disney Reservations did. If so, I expect I'll be using AAA in the future as well.
