Any luck with waitlists coming through at last minute?

I have a trip coming up in November, I have about 3 months 3 weeks til we leave but I will have to cancel my reservations at BCV if my ONE DAY does not come through.. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with their wait list coming through for them 2-3 months before their trip... I hope there is still hope

I think your chances are good that the one day will come through. With in the next two months something will show up. But in any case if it doesn't don't let one day keep you from WDW. Pay cash for one night and then move into your DVC unit the next day. Last November we had the same problem and ended up staying at the Dolphin for a night. Worked out great.........Have faith......

Are you waiting for a day in "Jersey Week"? If it's 11/7 or 11/8, (or any day that entire week), I can't give you much hope. That said, you never know, so don't give up just yet. If it doesn't come through by the 30 day mark, it's probably not going to, though.

Hope it comes through and if it doesn't hope your back up plan still provides a good time!

You also have Super Soap Weekend about that time at Disney Studios, so the Epcot resorts are prime territory.

Yes I am going during both of those events. One of my waitlist for the time had already come through, but with it getting close and closer to November I wish the waitlist would just come through

It's not the same time of year, but we had 2 nights at BCV come through 7 nights before we left in May 2007.

We had resigned ourselves to having to move after those two nights and when the WL came through we were thrilled that we didn't have to.

So it does happen.

Last march during spring break we had OKW 1 night then to BCV for 3 then back to OKW for 1 more night. On the Wednesday before we were to move I checked with the front desk just to see if anything had opened up and sure enought it did. So mine came through with about 24 hours. So Don't give up, it happens.

I had our waitlist come through for BCV in Dec....then got into AKV and canceled our BCV...so there is hope.
The woman told me a lot of waitlists seem to be going through with so many resorts everyone keeps switching around!

I wouldn't worry....I do this ALL of the time. In addition to staying on the waitlist, I'd call Member Services a couple of times a week just to see if they have the night you need. I don't know why but I've had success with this.

You might also want to book the missing night for cash (hopefully with a Member discount) as a bit of insurance. When your night comes throiugh on points you can always cancel the cash night.

I've had reservations missing several nights this far out and have always been able to fill the gaps--and we've been Members since 1992. Don't panic--just be dilligent with Member Services.
