Any luck with Wait List

I am looking for 3 nights in December (3, 4 & 5) for 1 bedroom OKW. They have put me on the "Wait List" This is the first time this has happened to me. Has anyone had any luck being placed on the list?

I think it depends on the resort. I've had success with the wait list at OKW {very quick} and I am still waiting for a request at Beach club villas {over a month and a half}. Oh yes, it also depends on the time of year.

We just received our room from the waitlist last friday for a 1br midoctober at the BVC. We had been on the wait list since April.

Waitlists definitely come through, but certain times of the year have become very popular with DVC members (even when it's a 'slow' time for the rest of the resorts and the parks). December is one of those popular DVC times that have become difficult to get a reservation if not booked early. BUT, you do have over 4 months, and OKW has the most rooms, so you've probably got the best chance at that resort. There could be members with OKW reservations who are on a waitlist for BCV, VWL, or BWV, and if their waitlist comes through it will open up rooms at OKW. Good luck!
