Any luck with National ID's and Coupons codes

I was able to use 8572977 for Oct 18-24 but it would not accept any coupons with it. I got $136, emerald aisle. I'll hold onto it and see what happens. I usually can get under $120 for this time of year.

Where does 8572977 code come from? It's giving me a great rate of $160 for a total(mid-size) in JAC from 7/29-8/02 compared to the $400-$500:scared1: plus that's been coming up.

Does it include insurance??? If it does, that's an excellent indicator that you've found a corporate rate and it's not a general public code. ;) You won't be able to decline the insurance...and that's not a good thing. Beyond that, you may have to have proof you're part of the "group". A little googling indicates International Travel Partnership.....

"usually" is something we will all have to learn to roll with in these economic times....

national seems to have the highest prices of any rental car company when you do searches on expedia etc...up to 450$ a week for midsize

the times they are changin......

I just tried to use a few different codes and none at all, but I got "no cars available"! I tried 3 different locations! :scared1:

What about National code 5063773? I have seen conflicting reports on where this came from. Does anyone know for sure?

It's been posted on FT that Burbank isn't honoring reservations made with these codes.

Posters are advised to have a backup reservation and not trust posters who say don't worry. We don't have the slightest idea if/when MCO will start refusing to honor improper rates.

Now that wasn't very nice Lewisc. I care about what happens to the people here who have given me alot of help! My experience with using rental cars throughout the US for my travel have shown me time and time again that the rate I booked with is the rate I will get when I pick up. There is so much to worry about when planning your trip to WDW and I was trying to help those by allieviating some worry where it isn't necessary.

And yes, making backup reservations can help ease people's minds but then if everybody does that then they might encounter the problem PinkTink is discovering "I just tried to use a few different codes and none at all, but I got "no cars available"! I tried 3 different locations!".

Last week I was playing with the codes. I started at *17* and worked my way up *27*, *37*, *47*, *57*, *67*, *77*, *87*, *97*. The 67 and 77 code were the only 2 that worked. It is the same as the 67 code in respect to what you get.

We just used the 67 code for June 26- June 30 with no problem at MCO. No questions asked at check out either.

Anyone use the 77 code yet? As in actually rent and return veh with no problems

I booked For 1 week October- mid size $133 all fees/taxes/LDW and supplemental liability ins included. This contract would not allow any coupons but at this rate and fees included guess it really doesnt matter and that could be why.

My reservations were for June 13th - July 4th (3-weeks) at MCO. Emerald Executive (free upgrade). Lots to choose from, I wanted, and got a Rav 4. Less than 4,000 miles on it! Total cost was $387. Over $250 savings than any other reservation I could get, with the exception of EZ-Rental, which I'd gotten down to $589.
No problems at all with check in or return.

I am one of the ones that called early on... checked THOROUGHLY, and spoke with my insurance company. I had no worries that this code is a courtesy code and I was intitled to use it (it's the "67") code.

If this code stops working, it would simply be because it's reached the expiration, or quota. I was told they didn't have a expiration date for it, but it could expire at any time. It wouldn't be because of anyone calling and alerting them of any wrong doing. They know people are using this code (how could they not, with all the people who have called them).

Anyway.. again, because of all the people who 'know better', I'm done with this thread. I just wanted to inform everyone of another rental with no problems.

The 77 code is the International travel division code for TQ3 and I heard that they do ask for out of USA country Passports on this one.

We will be in Orlando Jul 19-30. I made a reservation back in February using the Contract ID 8572987 and the $20 Entertainment book coupon for a 7-passenger minivan and our total confirmed price was $516.35. Tonight I was able to use Contract ID 8572977 and the $30 printable coupon from the link and my price on the website shows as $338. The difference is substantial so do I cancel and re-book using the new Contract ID? But is this the "suspicous" Contract ID that might not be honored? I have the original reservation booked under my husband's Emerald ID. In the worst case, if they don't honor the $338 rate, will they honor the $516? Do I need to show a print out? It looks like the Contract ID we originally used in Feb no longer shows up as valid. Or if they don't honor the $338 rate will they just go with the current rate w/ no Contract IDs, which is currently over $900! Rather than risk that I might just stick with the original one!

What ever you do, bring your paperwork!
Do you know what the 87 code is?

Yes, it shows invalid for me as well. I booked my reservation in Feb so I am not sure if it had to be booked by a certain date.

Just wanted to post that we were able to utilize the 67 code (along with a coupon) @ LAS last week:thumbsup2

Was nice to be able to have a great selection of upscale cars on the executive aisle too

The rep that checked the car back in upon our return did a double take when she announced the total to us though, received the email confirmation so all went well

Glad to hear you didn't have any problems with the code. Can you please tell me what cars were on the executive aisle?

Thanks
