Has anyone had any luck calling CRO every day or so to catch a cancellation using a discount code. I really want to stay at WL. But there is no availability on the dates I am going. Should I keep calling or is it a waste of time (and money for phone calls)?

I am trying each day tooo.. would like to move from Coronado to Poly (or any monarail resort) for Nov 4 & 5 .. Michelle

We will be staying at POR Nov 23 - Dec 3. We initially called when the BAT code came out and only received the last 3 days at discount. But, we called again last week and were able to get another 2 days at discount (so the last 5 days of our stay will be at the discounted rate).

The CM I last talked with recommeded that we keep calling back every so often to see if we could get more of the days at the discount rate. She was very helpful.

Don't give up! It may well be worth it. Some CMs are more helpful than others! Good luck!

Keep trying - I was able to change from POR to BC with the AP code yesterday for my dates 12/16-19 & add a day to my WL ressie 12/19-23. The dates & views I needed were available.:D

but I too want to stay at WL Nov 6-13th. We have not stayed there before. I can get it for rack rate. I was thinking that after the BAT code expires 10/10, Disney might release the rest of the rooms to AP holders. I will keep trying from time to time. Good Luck to you.....

I have TA trying everyday since the codes came out to change my ressies from POR to POFQ. There hasn't been any cancelations at POFQ for Nov. 4-8 from what I know of. Cause this TA is a fiesty little thing and trys everyday. But good luck!

I had great success doing this. First, use the 800 number 800 828 0228. Also, check on expedia for the nights you want. DONT BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA. But they will tell you the exact nights that are available. When the rates came out 3 weeks ago I was only able to get SUN-WED of my WL woods view room on the BAT code. I called every day (sometimes 2 or 3 times) and after about 10 days I got THU and FRI. Then just this week I got SAT, thus filling my whole week. It works, you just have to keep trying.

Good luck!

I should add that just because expedia says that a night isn't available doesn't mean that it's not available when you call (if that makes any sense).

Keep calling. We were paying $184 a night at PORQ from 12/25 to 1/1. Just moved to POR using BAT for $85 a night. ::MickeyMo

I've just been checking Disney's website and I happened to notice availability at AK for my dates so I called & changed my reservation. I would suggest checking the Disney website everyday & when you see what you want available, call right away to reserve!

I've tried to get BAT, BAS, and EWP codes since they came out for the Poly Nov. 3-8, 2004 but there is nothing available!! I try every two or three days. Today I tried that McDonald's code posted on this forum (BAP) and the CM said that code was not available at my resort!! Oh well, at least I have AAA. We're going no matter what!! I wish I could get a bigger discount....it's not like Disney won't get the money anyway. We'll just end up spending money that we have extra from a room discount to spend for stuff, food, etc.... it's a psychological thing... oh well, maybe a little pixie dust will come my way soon!!! Thanks for listening.:Pinkbounc princess: :Pinkbounc princess: :wave2: :wave2:

This is what I did also, I had booked WL for 12/1-12/4 at rack rate hoping to jump on it when the codes came out..........no luck. I kept the ressie, but after calling almost daily and thinking to myself.........with all these questions they are going to think I am some sort of nut, not to mention having to listen to the speil everytime I called, I resorted to the online thing, first I found 2 of my days at BAT and since then found all 4 nights and booked them and cancelled the original ressie at rack rate..........it sounds complicated but it wasn't just took a little time every morning checking the web site. So although I did not get an AP code I did get a code that saved me 140.00 a night so I am happy! Seems rooms there this year are a little hard to come by, I think alot of people that had cancelled reservations due to the hurricanes may have rescheduled and thus not as many rooms available.........but stay vigilant I think you will get what you want sooner or later......

Keep checking! I just switched tonight from POFQ (had a code but decided to upgrade) to AKL pool view. I check the website often and then I saw what I wanted come up so I called in quickly. I also want WL and am diligent about checking but haven't had any luck there.

We had orginally booked a standard view at WL-11/28-12/5. I couldnt get any codes for that room. Last week i had the cm check to see if there was any availability and she found a courtyard view for 149.00 BEFORE TAX which is cheaper than my rack rate of 199.00 for a standard room. I could only get the courtyard view with BAT code for 11/28-12/2. I could pay rack for the remaining three night (278.00 tax included). At first I was going to because it would still be cheaper than my orginal standard view. I called back to see if any thing opened up for those last three dates and no codes were availble....anyway we decided to move to CBR for the last three days because it would save us 548.00!!

I've been trying for AP rates for several weeks now. I don't even want to think about all the multiple reservations and changes my ressies have gone through. (Some days available at AP rates, others not, etc.) What a headache this year!

Anyhow, after calling just about every day - I finally got AP rates for ALL our nights at both resorts. (We are resort hopping.)

The CM today said the last night I needed at AP rate finally came open today because someone cancelled yesterday.

We are mid-November (not Thanksgiving) at POR and POLY LV. :)

I have been calling since the codes were released and at different times was offered AKL savanah view and BC con for our full week (10/30 thru 11/6) at the AP rate. We have the 5 + 2 for the YC but I wanted APs for next summer.
Since the room discounts are this time consuming, I am not sorry to make one trip with the UPH. If discounted rooms are an AP perk, it should be as a flat percentage discount that a normal person could plan around, the way that Cirque tickets are.
Off the topic, yesterday a CM said "And you know the main pool is closing for renovations Nov. 1, right?" Can anyone tell me if there will still be enough of the pool open for us to enjoy? We've never been there and any info would be appreciated.
Thanks Beth

I just checked Disney's web site to see if rooms were available for our stay (12/5-11 @ CR) and managed to get a discounted rate tonight and I had tried on Saturday and no discounts were available. So I'd suggest to keep trying at different times of the day.

  I am new to this and I have a question. What is a BAT code??? 12 of use are going to Disney in October for a week and I don't understand all the discount codes or how to use them.:bounce: :Pinkbounc

New day, new CM, new story. Our week at the YC with 5+2 is now a week at the Poly with APs. This means two weeks next summer and I'll be making these crazy calls again. :)
This board is really to blame of course. How else could I have known how much we would be wanting to return before our first trip down? Thanks guys!
Beth

We also had ressies at AKL for $220/night (EEKK!), kept calling, no luck. Finally called this week and they had Beach Club for $200/night. I think that's an upgrade! Grabbed it in a second.

By the Way... the BAT code is a discount code that Disney has released to the public. Call !-407-W-DISNEY (or the 800 #)and have them pull up your reservation (you'll need the confirmation #) and see if the new code of BAT can be applied to lower your rate.
