What is open late? We close parks every night, by the time we get to the resort (and we have a car), the food court is closed for the night, it closes at 12am and we often come in after that. Any on property places open later than 12am?

Not that I know of. I would guess no. However, I am not sure what resort you are staying. Maybe room service. If available @ your resort. Would be an option. Or, maybe downtown Disney. But, I am not so sure about late hours of dining operation there.
:confused3

You could always have your big meal at lunch when the sun is high. It would be a nice respite from the sun. Then, taking in a cs @ dinner, will cut down on the time spent eating a big meal. Freeing you up for more park time.

Or, just taking the last available seating in the parks, or @ the resorts. May work too. But, i think the latest is 10:30 p.m..

Good luck!:thumbsup2

We often run into this same problem. I continue to be surprised that WDW hasn't cashed-in on the large number of families up really late, especially during the warmer months and holidays. We'd be happy with some pre-made sandwiches and snacks! Instead, we have to satisfy ourselves with lots of snacks from either a nearby grocery or from home. I tell you, WDW is really missing out on making some $$ here -- and that REALLY amazes me!:upsidedow

I agree that it is slim pickens for late night eats. A few years ago we were delayed coming in due to some major storms at connecting airports. We were staying at the Yacht Club and ended up at ESPN just before they closed the kitchen. All they had were apetizers and it was obvious they weren't thrilled to be there that night so the food was not good. Knowing how Disney supposedely analyzes everything there probably is no true need for late night dining but I wish there were at least on that one night!:wizard:

We ordered pizza late before, but I don't think it was after midnight.

The fast food spots at the Grand Floridian and Polynesian are open 24/7. The old one at the Contemporary was too but it closed a few months ago. I haven't heard if the temporary replacement is open all night. I certainly hope the permanent new spot will be.

However, the grills at these places close at 11pm. So the only thing available is the items in the cooler and bakery area, snacks, etc..

Since you'll probably be very tired from spending the night at the parks, I would recommend packing some midnight snacks that you can keep in the hotel.

We ran into this problem after a late night at Mickey's Christmas Party, we were very tired, the thought of waiting on a bus to go to downtown disney was out of the question, no where in the parks was open, most pizza deliveries weren't going anymore and the snack counters in the resorts are very overpriced for their slim pickings.

I agree that Disney could profit by having late night restaurants more accessible, this surprised me, especially with all of the late night events that take place.

I know we've foraged for food at the Hess station at Downtown Disney fairly late at night. I don't know if it's 24 hours but it was definitely almost midnight if not after.

I liked Picabu at the Dolphin. (Yes, it's pronounced 'peek a boo!')

In fact, I have pics from my trip report, Day 3, I think. Their specials can feed some Third World nations, the portions are that huge. ;)

how 'bout grabbing something on your way out of a park... i.e. bakery on main street in MK has some great grab 'n go sandwiches and yummy pastries... of course, you could visit the gift shop during the day and get some donuts or fruit cups/veggie cups/etc to stock in your room (we typically do that for the late night and/or early morning munchies)... dessert from dinner is also a nice snack upon return to the resort...

I think the McDonalds over by the All-Star resorts may be is open 24 hrs.

Wendys< McD's - the fast food places in LBV are open 24 hours. You need to join DVC and have your own kitchen LOL

Some of the deluxe resorts room service is available really late...

It's a fixed menu, nothing fancy, but it something.
