Any kind of discounts for 12/26 - 12/31

OK, I've been doing some searching on these boards and it appears that there was some sort of discounts last year for that sacred week of 12/26 - 12/31. So I was wondering if anyone has any details of what sort of discounts were available and what kind were they (i.e. normal code, AP rate, etc...) ? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

We would love to be in a deluxe, but right now we have reservations for POR for 12/29 - 1/1 and the rate is about $200+ per night - for a moderate!

Barring a terrorist attack that affects WDW's attendance, I wouldn't count on discounts for that time frame. Disney traditionally does not discount during their heaviest weeks. Last year, of course, was an aberration.

I know there were AP discounts last year, but I truly don't remember how deep.

There were very deep discounts last year. Some were as high as 40%. I wouldn't count on any discount this coming Christmas week. I agree that it was a real sign of how bad things were last year that Disney resorted to discounting.

Even last year, you had to arrive on 12/25 or earlier to get a discount. There were no discounts for arrivals 12/26 through 12/31.

I agree with the others. I do not think there will be any discounts for this time period in 2002.
