Not a promo, but if you use a Target Red Card, you would get 5% off the price of the iPad.

Also, not sure if this is a consideration for you, but there have been many reports that the 2nd gen iPad will be available sometime in February. IMHO, it may be worth waiting just a bit longer to purchase.

Thanks guys! I know there is a new one coming out...but not Feb. I think it is now April. I have one and love it and want to get dh one. For what we use it for, I don't think we will care about the next generation. I don't think it will change that much.

If I already have a Target card, can you still save. 5 percent?

If you don't mind refurb (same warranty) then Apple has a special right now of getting the next size up for the lower price.

ie - 32gb for 16gb price

These specials go very quickly so check back often if interested.

Thanks everyone. Just bought an 8G refurbished one through Apple for $429.

A lot of money for a gift, but I was happy about the deal. It came to $455 with taxes and they are shipping it free.

To anyone else still looking, keep checking the Apple Store becAuse they keep putting these up for a limited time and then they disappear again.
