Hello! I am new to Universal Side, but I am asking information for a co-worker... I was wondering how crowds will be for a short 2 day trip on June 9 and 10th? I didnt know if they had any free websites that I could check for her or if any one could just say "Yikes, it will be crazy" or "not to bad".

Also, I was wondering if it is better to get there park passes at the park when they get there or online before hand? Are there any good places to get a deal without giving me websites?

Sorry I have learned so much from these Boards for Disney but I dont know much about Universal...

Thanks in advance.:worship:

First of all let me say "I am a newbie myself", but I have been researching USF/IOA like a crazy woman :rolleyes1 (it helps pass the time) Anyway, from what I have gathered, you judge the crowd by the price of the Express pass, the more it cost, the greater the crowd anticipation is. Secondly, you can buy tickets on the Universal website, or someplace like Undercover Tourist.

Arrive at IOA before opening, if Harry Potter is a must, onsite guest get in one hour early, so it will already have a crowd.

Well hope a newbie was able to help a little, I'll be more knowledegable after my trip in June :yay:

Here's the link for the Express pass prices

Hey...are you stealing my material? ;)

Just kidding. :rotfl:

You are correct...a lot of the regulars use the EP pricing chart to gauge the projected crowd level for a specific date. The lower the price...the lower the crowd is projected to be. Of course...that could change so it's not written in stone.

You've learned a lot in a short period! :thumbsup2

I have been going to Disney and Universal 2 or 3 times a year since I was born and im 20 now so I know a pretty good bit about the parks. Its a lot better to get the park passes online. Its much quicker and easier. If you can afford to stay at one of the on-site hotels at Universal then it could save you a lot of time. You probably already know this, but your room key is a express pass for all the rides and a lot better value than buying the express pass at the parks. Plus you will also have a hotel room to go back to so you can rest. With the express pass, we usually get through both parks in just a couple of hours, so a nice break at the hotel is always nice. Now Universal is usually not as busy as Disney. My advice is to go to Universal Studios first cause its not very busy in the morning. IOA is crazy in the morning and mid-afternoon, but after 4 O'clock its not bad at all. Hope this helps. if you have any more questions then just ask

thanks everyone for the help! It looks like they we will be there on the second lowest price range!.

Now, I just wish I could go too!!

In keeping with going to US first, can one assume you should do US on Sunday and IOA on Monday or Tuesday? I was trying to figure out which park to do on Sunday as we arrive on Saturday and I know no one is going to want to wait until Monday to go to the parks

You could do that. It doesn't take long to do all the rides at Universal, and you will have plenty of time to see everything and will you will be abe to reride mostly everything at Universal
