Any info on the new T-Rex Restaurant in DTD???

I just called Disney Dining and asked about reservations and the cast member I spoke with said he had no info yet on when it was opening or if they would even be the ones to take the reservations. He said they don't do a few of DTD reservations and since they don't do Rain Forest he would doubt they would take them for this one too.
I did recieve an email from allears stating that T-REX will open Oct. 14th and you can make reservations through Disney Dining.

So who knows. I am just going to keep calling Disney Dining and hope for the best.

When I spoke with Disney Dining he did try looking it up and the only thing he found was that they are opening mid October. He said if they do, reservation should open up soon, but he doesn't know who through.

That's strange. . . When I made ADR's for Rain Forest it was through Disney Dining. . .

I will be surprised if it is on the DDP, but I think Disney Dining will take the ADR's.

Did you make them for the one at AK or the one at Down Town? I know they take reservations for the one in Animal Kingdom.

That is exactly what I was going to ask. Disney Dining only make ressies for the one at AK, not the one at DTD, but we prefer the one at DTD anyway, better food, atmosphere, and service.

It is highly unlikely that T-Rex will accept the Dining Plan as neither RFC does.

We're looking to make reservations on Oct. 17th. I'm subscribing to this link just in case someone finds out when reservations can be made. I'll also keep calling and will post info if I find out anything new.

Thanks! :goodvibes Yes, anyone with new info - please post!!

I, too, want to know when we can start making reservations! It looks awesome & I would love to take my family in mid Nov!

I don't think that I have posted this info. on this thread:

According to an email I received from T-Rex Kansas City as well as info. I received over the phone from RFC in DTD:

T-Rex Cafe in DTD will only be accepting walk-ins until sometime in January 2009. No ADRs for 2008 will be accepted by Disney Dining, RFC DTD (on behalf of T-Rex) etc.

So I guess all that we can all who want to visit in 2008 is to show up at the podium and wait.

I also asked about priority seating to Safari Club members (RFC club) and was told NO that the membership is not accepted at T-Rex.

If anyone else has any info. that is different from this, I would LOVE to hear it, since I am not too excited about the info. I received from T-Rex Kansas city and RFC DTD.

I contacted the website and they responded to my question with this response:

Aloha!

Hope this helps. Looks like we'll just have to get their early and wait.

oops. I can't edit my posts but just wanted to retype my last sentence. Looks like we'll have get there early and wait. Mispellings bother me.

thanks for the info. Was hoping to be able to make a reservation for our November trip. Guess we'll miss it now, can't see waiting around with the kids for a table. The only plus to hearing this news is that that is one less restaurant I need to squeeze into our busy schedule. Now I'm down to only 2 that I need to still squeeze in (I think I need to add an extra day to our trip!)

Thanks for the great info.

Where in DTD is T-REX located? Why do you think it will be on the premium or platinum plans but not DDP? Thanks....just trying to figure out 09 plans!

Oooooh yaaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!! Thanks so much for emailing them! We are going to be at Disney from 10/29 - 11/5 and I thought we would be just tad too early since I thought it was opening mid November. I really really really hope they open mid October!

The latest info from both Disney and on the disboards is T-Rex is scheduled to open on October 14. I talked to a CM yesterday, and as of yet they are not sure who is going to be doing the ressies. She said the contracts have not been finalized yet. I also heard they will only be doing walk-ins at first. I will at WDW for the T-Rex grand opening on October 14. I am going to try and get in.:woohoo:

I will also be there next week, and I will see if anything has changed as far as ressies.:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
