Does anyone know when T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure restaurant is supposed to open in DTD? I assume it will be a TS meal, not a CS. . . When can we make ADR's? Will it be included in the DDP? Any info would be great! :goodvibes

This is all I can find-
"· In fall 2008, guests will enter a world of prehistoric creatures at T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure. The dinosaur-themed family eatery will serve up pizzas, pastas, seafood and more, and will feature life-size animated dinosaurs that dwell among bubbling geysers, waterfalls and a fossil dig site."

My DS7 and DS5 will FREAK. OUT. They l-o-v-e dinosaurs. I can't wait to hear more about this...our next Disney trip is 1/09!

The new restaurant, set to open during the second week of November 2008, will feature several different environments, including a geothermal region, with a “Kitchen of Fire” and a 26-foot-high lava wall oozing over ancient geological formations. In an ice cave room, a woolly mammoth and her baby will greet you. And in an aquatic region, look for a 45-foot-span octopus with animated arms at the shark bar.

The exterior will feature a full-size T-Rex and another dinosaur measuring in at 28 feet tall and 122 feet wide.

So its supposed to open the second week of November. I can't wait for reviews. My kids will love this (heck so will I, I'm a dino lover).

It's possible that this restaurant will not accept the DDP. It is owned by Landrys Restaurants, which owns the Rainforest Cafe. RFC accepts only the premium and platinum plans, not the DDP.

They also own Yak & Yeti, which does accept DDP - but Y&Y is inside a theme park.

Well that's interesting. . . I sure hope it's on the DDP, but probably won't be since it is in DTD.

Hope we get more definite info soon! :wizard:

I have been to the one they have in Kansas City and it is awesome. Landry's has a website that shows the one they own in KC.

  Going to Disney in 28 days!!

I'm hoping and praying that T-Rex gets itself ready and open in time for our Dec trip!

DD3 loves to be scared by dinosaurs! She's too little for Dinosaur in AK (well today she is, guess we'll see in Dec), so I'm hoping this will be a fun alternative for her.

I want to take her to BBB before we go so I can pics of her happily fearing the dinosaurs as a pretty princess.

I have not tod DS (9) about this. He loves RFC and we must do it every trip for him. I am hoping to replace RFC with T-Rex this year when we go in December and not tell him. He will love this place-and DH and I are like big kids so we will love it too.

According to the AP newsletter, they will be "coming" early November 2008.

Just thought I'd add that when I called WDW last night to make another ADR I inquired about T-Rex again and the CM said that they aren't taking reservations yet, but that they expect it to be on the DDP for 1 TS! :goodvibes

Sure hope she's right! :yay:
