We booked a 1 BR through RCI and are staying June 11-18th. Do you have any reccomendations on what building to request, or any other info would be appreciated. It will be me, DH and DS5 and DS2. Thanks!

Love Silver Lake. Not sure which section of the resort you traded into but the only building I would stay away from is 400 as it runs along Sherbeth Road and I would bet it will be loud as it is a really busy road. I don't really think there is a bad location in the bunch aside from that building.

Silver Lake is nice..not the Ritz, but very comfy resort. Small and clean. Would go back in a minute.:thumbsup2

Thanks! We traded into the Gold Crown section, and were told that we would be placed in one of the newer buildings. We're excited!

I am fairly certain that the Gold Crown newer buildings are close to the lobby building and pool...not at all close to Sherberth Road...I think you will like Silver Lake.. My only word of caution is do not expect the Ritz. I read so many reviews people give of decent places that they were disappointed when they expected the 5* Ritz and chose to stay in a 2* Holiday Inn....

Have fun and let us know when you get back if you enjoyed your stay:thumbsup2

i stayed there last year and it was like the others said: clean but a little dated in terms of style and furnishings.

location was great - very short drive to AK...maybe a little awkward to make the left hand turn back onto the main road but no big deal. lots of dining options and a target (IIRC) nearby.

We stayed there last year and loved it!!! very comfy, nice, quiet, good location. we're staying on site this year at the grand floridian because of the convienience of transportation and the disney resort feel. But, this is a great resort, it was very nice and it was a good price. We had a one bedroom also. I've attached pics.

let me know if you have any questions. we were just there in july/august of last year.

We stayed in a studio just after the new year. It was too cold to enjoy the exterior elements of the resort, but we thought the features were nice. The gym and game room are quite large. The weight equipment was a bit old while the cardio equipment was newer; we had good workouts there.

I thought our king studio was nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable.

By the way we stayed in the bldg off Sherberth, near the back entrance and had no issues with noise from the road or anywhere else for that matter.
