Going to be staying at the Country Inn & Suites I Drive. Anyone been there before? How about the transportation to Disney they have, is it any good? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I don't remember there being a Country Inn & Suites on I Drive. I know there is one on Universal Blvd - is this the one you mean? If so, I haven't been there but have heard about it from others - nice place, closer to Universal Studios than Disney, but they do have complimentary shuttle service to the Disney parks.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, thats the one. They call it the Inn & suites Orlando International Drive, but it apparently, isn't on I -Drive as they say in the name. Oh, well. Do you know if the shuttle to Disney is their own shuttle or is it one of the multi-hotel ones? Hoping it is their own, but just have this feeling it isn't.

Thanks for the info.

They share the shuttle with other hotels (not sure which ones).

FYI
some hotels that are actually on Universal BLVD have their address as being on I drive as they have a driveway or gate that are on I drive or have access by one of the streets that connect I drive to universal.

A perfect example of this is Doubletree Castlehttp://www.doubletreecastle.com/ tey have the address of being on I drive when the hotel main entrance is actually on universal blvd.

Hi - DH and I stayed there a couple of years ago. It was only built a few months before we stayed there and was very clean. From memory we booked a double room but the safe didn't work and we were moved rooms. The safe didn't work there either!! so we were given a suite for our 5 night stay. We had a King Bed, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The room was spacious and clean. There was a complementary breakfast consisting of cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, fruit etc. - I do remember there being plenty on offer. There is a small pool to the back of the hotel and plenty of parking.
The hotel is next door to the Siam Orchid - a really nice Thai restaurant and just over the road is the Crowne Plaza Universal - we stayed there in September and would highly recommend it. IDrive is about a 5min walk.
The only thing I can't comment on I'm afraid is the transport - we only used the I Drive trolley buses to Universal and then stayed on site for our WDW visit.
Hope this info helps.

The one on Calypso Cay is much nicer.

We stayed there a year ago and loved it. It's very quiet. It has a lovely zero entry pool (total of 3 pools) with a water slide.

It's very convenient to Sea World and Disney. Abt 30 minutes from Universal.

You will need a rental car, though, if you stay here.
