hi

we are going to disney in july for 3 weeks and staying at the por. i have already booked all or my adr's, it will be our eldest 16th birthday in august so ive been thinking maybe we should have a nice celebration meal to celebrate it early. we are taking my mum and dad with us (they have been divorced for over 25 years) so this would be the best chance of us all being together.

my adr's are -
crystal palace - breakfast
crt - breakfast - dd 8th birthday
chef mickey - breakfast
ohanas' - dinner
whispering canyon - dinner
1900 park fare - breakfast - dd9th birthday
cape may - breakfast

we really need somewhere onsite, so does anyone have any ideas ?

thanks in advance

Sorry not sure about a 16yr old - my DD is only 8!

Are you looking to eat in a park? What about Rainforest Cafe or Wolfgang Puck?

There are plenty of places in Epcot - like Le Cellier or the Rose & Crown.

Hope you get somewhere :)

What sort of meal are you looking for??

A fun character meal or a more posh celebration meal??

Disney does both really well and you already have some great choices for fun / character.

What about somewhere at Downtown Disney? It would be simple in terms of transport - in fact, a beautiful boat ride from POR. Is this your first trip, or have you been before?

Hi Kellie

How about Hoop De Doo Revue?? Something a bit different and would suit all ages??

thanks for your replies

not sure what kind of meal we are looking for:confused:

we went to disney in 06 for the first time and only went to crystal palace.

i didnt do any research last time because we went with family that had been before so trusted them to show us everything. we missed so much, so im trying to get sorted so i dont miss things this time.

any ideas would be great so i can look them up and choose something for my daughter.

thanks

kellie

Rainforest Cafe is pretty cool for all ages. There are outlets at both Downtown Disney and Animal Kingdom. The boat from POR docks right alongside DTD location. Because it's not a Disney owned restaurant, they have their own website. It's a little bit on the expensive side, but not ridiculously so, and the portions are huge.

Funnily enough my son is 16 in June and we are celebrating in WDW. We leave the day after his last GCSE!

Matt's choice for his birthday meal is the California Grill. The food is superb and the view of Wishes is magical.

Just a thought!

I second the california grill Idea, it means dressing up but it feels really special :thumbsup2

CG is nice, esp if you can time it with wishes, dont forget his birthday boy badge, i hear they get spoilt rotten;)

Last year we went for DF birthgay to CG. We got a commemorative phote & certificate. We also got to see wishes :thumbsup2
A lovely meal - a bit more $$$ though.

Try the Flying Fish in Boardwalk we keep going back year after year and have never been disappointed. The California grill (at the top of the contemporary resort)is excellent and you can watch the fire works if you eat around Magic kingdom closing time (They dim the lights in the restaurant). :cake:

If you're eating off site, I'd try TGi's - they do a great birthday chant... teens love it!!
