My niece is turning 10 on Thursday, and I am taking her to the magical world of Disney. I'm very excited, and have been to Disney many times, but this is the first time with just her and I. I have a few things that I know we will do, but I wondered if anyone had any ideas for special trips like this?

How about the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridan? That to me is something sweet and fun to do. A 10 year old might like being all fancy for an afternoon.

If you can't get into CRT I would also suggest dinner at 1900 Park Faire at the Grand Floridian. It is a buffet that features Cinderella, her prince, and the Tremaine family. I got reservations two days before in January. My aunt took me to Disneyland in 2009 and it was fun with just the two of us! Enjoy your trip!

There's plenty of things you could do!

-Tea time at the GFlo (not the one with Alice, the one at the cafe?)

-CRT or Akershus princess dining

-"Girls" day, she can dress up in a princess dress (or go to the BBB) and you can wear a nice sundress, get all "dolled up" to go have a meal with the princesses or go have tea time or something

-a fireworks cruise!
