Here is the deal:

My kids are on a full 2-week school break over Christmas (aren't they all?). DH and I do NOT have the time off so my parents have graciously agreed to watch my kids during school break. My parents live near me, so of course, we will be spending the usual holiday days together.

But my poor mom is wracking her brains trying to think of something to do with the kids (age 12 and 9). She wants some type of vacation. Our first thought was the Disney Cruise for 4 days; however, after going through Dreams Unlimited there looks like there is no availability. I guess I was naive thinking that I could book that cruise, during the holidays, on short notice. Disneyworld is out of the questions as the crowds are just way to massive at that time.

Do you guys have any suggestions that would be fun? We live on the east coast but flying or driving is not out of the question.

Since you live in VA, and not to far from east tn, I suggest Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg.

3 Million + lights in Dollywood alone, and all the lights on the strip. And a downhome christmas feeling to boot

I, too, am looking for some ideas! Any other suggestions?

We live in Western PA and I know there are quite a few of you from the Pittsburgh meet thread.
