Any idea how this could happen?

If there are any reservation CM's on here...

Last night I call with my grand gathering number to add a location request to our Coronado Springs resort reservation. There are six different reservations to go through and add the request to, most with different last names. We come to the last family member name that the agent needs me to verify information for and it is the name of a family member that is not only NOT coming, but that is basically a trouble maker and would never be invited. On top of that, her last name was somehow on MY reservation number. When the agent "clicked" to open the reservation, it did have my family's correct info. But how bizarre. I've never traveled with her anywhere, let alone Disney. Her maiden name is the same as my married name (she is my husband's sister), but the reservation pulled up with her married name. Any ideas???

I guess that's a no. I emailed customer service and asked them for an explanation. If anyone is interested I will post the answer they give me.

she could have found out about this trip and tried to include herself? Good luck and definitely let us know the results of your inquiry!

Did you happen to share your Disney numbers with any other members of your grand gathering?? Reservation numbers, confirmation numbers etc? Perhaps that's how she managed to get her hands on the info. Or if she got an unusually cooperative CM ("Could you please, please, help me.... I've lost our confirmation numbers but I really, really, need to make a change to our grand gathering....Yadda yadda). Yes, I know they're not supposed to do that, but given the verbal browbeating some CMs take from guests, you just never know.

Just a thought. I'd be on the phone to this relative so fast her head would spin. Let her know that she hadn't been invited and was being removed from the reservation.

Thank you for your thoughts, but there is no way she could have gotten our reservation numbers. The only people who actually speak to her regularly are my in laws, and we aren't telling them even until the last minute that we are going. It's so unfortunate that it has to be this way, but we work very hard for our vacation time (and the money to pay for it) and there is no way I will let any one person jeopardize that. It is just super bizarre and kind of creepy. I really hope there is a logical explanation for all of it. I will definitely keep you posted!

I don't think there is a logical explanation. Disney's computer system does funky things sometimes. A few years ago I planned a solo trip. Somehow, my dad's name ended up on the reservation as the lead.

My sister has been married for 25 years. She still gets mail sent from Disney to our parent's house in her maiden name.

I get e-mail from Disney, sent to my e-mail address, with her last name on it.

The only near to logical explanation is that their computer system is crazy.

Thank you for sharing that info. I think just the fact that she is at times mentally unstable has me freaked out over it. I know she has been to Disney in the past and though 20 years apart, we both at one time in our lives had the same mailing address. So maybe that is what happened. I sure wish it was anyone's name but hers though!

I just spoke with a CM on the phone, I could not wait for Disney to email me back. Apparently, there is some sort of glitch. My phone number comes up as her phone number but only until the CM "clicks" her name. Then her own information pops up. Just as under my reservation #, her name appears on the initial screen, but when they "click" mine is in the actual reservation. The CM told me "it will always be like this." WTH? As long as I know she didn't try to call and add herself to my trip, or make her own reservation at the same time, I feel worlds better! Thank you for letting my nerves vent here
