Hi :wave2:

I was just wondering if there were any fellow Howard Stern fans out there ?
I love listening to him on Sirius everyday :goodvibes

So sad about Artie...:sad2:

My DH listens daily... on XM/Sirius... whatever. He wants to listen each and every time we are in the car! :sad2:

Been a fan for many years. The Artie situation is very sad. He must have a lot more issues than he even let on.

I haven't listened in a few days....whats up with Artie (besides the drug issue)?

Howard confirmed this morning that Artie was hospitalized because he attempted suicide. :sad1:
According to a New York Post article, Artie's mother made an emergency phone call on Saturday morning after finding him wounded at his Hoboken, N.J., apartment. :sad2:

DH is the fan in this house. I stopped listening years ago when he stepped over the line (It was during the Hedda Nestbaum stuff with her daughter and he was making jokes about it- the day after the little girl was killed. I thought it was beyond just poor taste.

But DH has been listening for years and loves it.

I don't know Artie nor do I listen to Howard but Artie stabbed himself in excess of 9 times. He must be a very troubled person. How sad.

I have been a fan from day 1. I feel so sad for Artie. He must've felt so desperate to stab himself like that. where's his girlfriend? I'm thinkin' she left him and that pushed him over the edge...

Not a huge Howard fan but I think Artie, Sal, Richard and Co. are hilarious. Artie is a very troubled person and I feel so badly for him. He has suffered from depression forever. I will keep him in my thoughts. The way he looks on the outside is exactly how he feels on the inside.

Yes, another Howard fan here. Poor Artie.

I will be interested to see if Howard renews his contract with Sirius. I can't imagine Sirius giving him such liberal terms as initially (what, $500 million for five years?). However, even if he has to take a pay cut to, say, $100 million for five years, he should do it.

I mean, he is only on four times a week. He has liberal vacation leave (seems like a week per month).

I do think that Howard is one of the greatest interviewers around. His interviews with Francis Ford Coppola and that other director (I can't remember his name: he directed those two martial art films with Uma Thurman) were wonderful. I wish I had recorded them.

I believe his name is Quentin Tarantino :)

Not a fan but I work in the same building. Interesting characters in the lobby at times. And I'm so oblivious that I probably wouldn't even notice him if I walked right past him. :lmao:

HUGE Howard fan here! I've been listening since the WNBC days when he was on in the afternoons.

If you were listening today, I can't wait for Howard to mediate the William Shatner / George Takei battle! I wish Howard would allow Shatner to interview him though. I've seen Raw Nerve quite a few times and I think he is a good interviewer.

I like Artie and he obviously has some really serious problems. I can't imagine him returning to the show.

But I love Howard!

I like to think of him as the ultimate voyeur. It's like a circus all around him, and he just agitates and watches. :)

You are so right! You think he's the only person in the room and you can 100% confide in him. And he's a great salesman...he can get anyone to do anything!

In my opinion , a person hasn't been interviewed , until they've been interviewed by Howard :goodvibes
