Any hotels near an In-N-Out Burger?

I have promised my husband that we can stop at IN-N-Out when we are visiting in August. We are only there one night, so, I was wondering if there are any hotels right near one where we wouldn't need a car. Renting a car is still possible, but I thought we might try to avoid the driving in LA since we'll be coming in from LAX. We also have to get to the port the next morning.

In'N'Out is a hamburger place, they have only hamburgers, fries and drinks. But man! Once you have an In'N'Out hamburger, you are hooked! I don't know what it is about them exactly that makes them so darned good, but they are! It is the one and only place where I always get a shake, too (strawberry). Anyway, the hamburgers really fill me up. My DH always gets a double-double but they are too much for me. And the fries, oh, the fries. I actually have a close up picture of our food from there that makes my mouth water. If I were able, I would post it. In'N'Out is one of the things we really miss about living in California! That and Disneyland of course!!!

actually the one in fullerton is the closest one to the park.

and if you go look at their "secert" menu it has lots of good stuff on it. imho if you can find a tommies thats where a good burger is at.

my hubby misses in'n'out burger baaaad! he's born californian and moved up here to be with me. i didnt know what i was missing till a couple years ago when i went down for the first time and he made me go. definately tastey burgers and it's very inexpensive too.

Oh, I totally forgot about In N Out Burger! When DH and I were in Cali in January on our cruise we got into our hotel late and the hotel recommended In N Out burger as a fast place to eat....they were closed so we never got there but I'm going to make sure and try it this trip. Thanks for the reminder.

Curious, where did you stay that hte hotel recommended them? We were originally going to stay in Long Beach or San Pedro, but thought we might stay closer to DL for the night if we could squeeze in a trip to DL for a few hours.

There is an In n' Out very close to LAX. It is on Sepulveda Blvd. It is famous for people on layovers going there by taxi or walking just to get a double double fix. When we lived in LA we had to stop there all the time for out of town guests...

Sorry I have no idea but I wanted to say that we do not like In N Out at all. We have one in town and we never eat there. The best part about them, the smell of them frying up the onions. That smells heavenly, but the food.......YUCK!

I like their fries better than their burgers. The burgers are about one step up from McDonalds, but the fries are more on a par with the Nathan's fries from my childhood.

We have in-and-out about 10 minutes away. I've been to it exactly twice in 3 years. Our daughter won't eat burgers and it is too guilty an indulgence for me to justify without our kids wanting it.

The Wyndham Anaheim Park hotel is about a 1/4 mile away from the Fullerton In-N-Out.

I am getting from you all that it is better than McDonalds but are the burgers thin like McDonalds. I am in the same boat for having my family not eating red meat so to go there IMO would be mean to them. I think what I am thinking is that if they are thin like McDonalds then I can just stop get me one and it would be like a snack.

In-N-Out is actually socially concious too. That was why I was so excited to try them.

The restaurant chain has developed a loyal customer base[3][4][5] and is one of the few fast food chains in the United States to pay its employees significantly more than state and federal mandated minimum wages – up to $10 per hour in California, as of January 2008.

Of course, I'm not sure how far $10/hour would go in some parts of california!

What is the secret menu?

Here is info from wikipedia:

Animal Style (Burger or Fries): The fries are topped with 2 slices of melted cheese, spread, and grilled onions. The burgers are cooked using mustard, and are then topped with pickles, extra spread, and grilled onions.
Grilled Cheese: Everything that the cheeseburger includes, minus the meat patty. Can be ordered with or without onions as well as "animal style".
Protein Style: Any burger that is offered on the menu will be wrapped in lettuce rather than using a bun.
M x C (3x3, 4x4): "M" meaning number of meat patties and "C" meaning number of cheese slices. Therefore, the 3x3 is three meat patties and three slices of cheese. The 4x4 is four meat patties and four slices of cheese.
Double Meat: Simply the Double Double without cheese.
Veggie Burger: A burger without meat or cheese- only vegetables are used.
The Flying Dutchman: Two meat patties and two slices of cheese. No bun, vegetables, or spread are included.

In-n-out burgers are a little thicker than a McDonalds patty.

Besides social consciousness, they try to spread the message of the bible with small quotes on their paper utensils. I am not saying this to either flame or praise what they are doing. You can come to your own decision about whether you like this or not. As I've said, I've eaten their twice.

I have a vegetarian friend who loves their grilled cheese. Although I'm usually a Double-Double girl, I like the grilled cheese too (animal style of course!).
