Any hotel deals for March?

I am late in thinking of booking this trip, and may have missed a promotion already, but was going to ask about March rates. We are going to go some time during the last two weeks of March. I checked the regular rates on the website, and they were all over $300/night. We are just looking for one night.

I have AAA, but have not called for a rate check. Is it usually about 10%?

I also have the cheapest annual pass, but I do not think that it offers a room discount. Is it possible to upgrade my pass at this time, or did I have to do that before leaving the park the day I bought it?

We have a house in Winter Park and thought it would be fun to stay for one night, plus the front of line benefit, pools, boats, etc. But at +$300, we will just stand in line and not swim. ;) We were hoping for closer to $200. That's easier for us to justify.

Thanks for your help!

Looking at the AAA site I pull up $260 standard room RPR for a Wednesday the 28th or $287 standard for that Saturday. If you upgrade your pass you can get a room for $199 on a weekday or $259 weekend.

Can anyone tell me the "code" for Ap holders to use when booking a hotel room? I'd like to see if I can get a discount for Nov. if I buy and AP. Thanks!

rates for the AP holders have not been released that far out.
we are just now getting some of the early summer rates for ap holders.

there is no code involved.
if you have the AP/ preferred or premier, you can book with the ap discount for the onsite hotel room.

you could check out the rates for your dates on the promo of Stay More Save More.
anyone can use that promo for booking the room.
that promo expires jan. 2013.

go to www.universalorlando.com
then click on the hotels tab
you can chose all 3 hotels and view their prices.
the SMSM info should be listed on that page.

or, you can book the room for the november dates now.
you can call and modify your room rate when the ap rates come out.
you do not have to have the ap when you book.
buy the ap once you are there.
you can show the ap anytime while you are a guest at the hotel to keep that rate for when you check out.

Like MAC says, it's not out yet but FYI its APH :) I am still waiting for the August AP rates to come out but I think my best deal is still the SMSM since we are staying 5 nights
