HI EVERYONE!!::wave:
WE ARE NEW TO THE DISNEY VACATION CLUB, (JUST BOUGHT SSR IN OCT. 03), BUT HAVE BEEN VACATIONING SINCE (FOREVER!!!). WE DECIDED TO BOOK BCV, (FOR AUGUST) SINCE CONSTRUCTION WILL STILL BE ONGOING @SSR. MY DH WANTS TO HAVE A RESTFUL TIME UNTIL OUR DS & DIL COME DOWN DURING THE WEEK!. THE THING IS THIS, WE ONLY WANT TO DO THE PARKS WHEN THE KIDS GET THERE, SO ANY SUGGESTIONS ON 4 OR 5 DAY PASSES AT A DISCOUNT!. SOOOOO HAPPY TO BE PART OF THE DVC!!!!!!::Pinkbounc :bounce:

Congratulations & Welcome Home!
I did a little bit of online searching about a month ago and discovered that Ticketmania had some of the best prices for various Disney ticket media. Add to that free delivery and you have a good deal.

THANK YOU FOR THE INFO NEIL, I GUESS JUST SAVING THE SHIPPING WOULD BE A DISCOUNT!!! WE`D LIKE TO SEE CIRQUE TOO, SO ITS NOT JUST THE PARKS! AGAIN ,THANK YOU, NEIGHBOR!:wave2:

I found ticketmania the best price, but, I went through mousesavers .com which gave a special link to ticketmania and got tickets even cheaper than direct ticketmania. No shipping no tax! :sunny:

Enjoy!! :hyper:

I also used ticketmania through mousesavers. They delivered to wvl desk. We were satisfied.

Move to Florida, the resident's discount is the best.

Please lose the CAPS, it makes your posts difficult to read. Notice that in all the replys and all the other posts on all the other tipics on all the other boards, no one is typing in all CAPS.

It really makes your posts hard on the eyes.

What you have said is entirely true. PITravel is cheaper than Ticketmania -- but on a 7-day adult PHP, that difference adds up to $1. That's fine for those who are able to pick up their tickets from the office -- however the $30 US shipping fee for international delivery is rather steep.
I'm on the eternal search for the best price for admissions. The 7-day PHP gives great value for money for admissions to the theme parks -- but using any Plus for admission to PI is a waste of money, as the Pluses on the various PHPs are priced anywhere from $20 - $29. Good value for admission to the waterparks, but not for PI - especially when discount tickets for PI can be had for less than $16 ea.

Though they don't always advertise them, Paramount also often has perks that they toss in. For instance, last year I bought 5 7Day PHPs from Paramount and got 5 free meal vouchers that we used for a character breakfast. This year, I didn't see anything about them, so I bought at TicketMania because of the shipping (I picked them up at Paramount last year) and then I later found out that Paramount had offered Disney Quest admissions as a toss-in! What a bummer, considering I had bought Disney Quest tickets from TicketMania. I should have called Paramount.

We had good service from both, by the way. If you order from TicketMania, be sure to go via the link sent out in the mousesavers.com newsletter, the rates are better. Paramount appears to not have any affiliation with mousesavers or anyone else that I could find, so you can go straight to their site without fear of missing a deal that some cross-link might have gained you. (I think!)

Anyway, the moral of the story is to call Paramount and ask them if there are any added bonuses of getting your passes through them.

If you want a plain 4 day or 5 day hopper with no plusses, you can only get those from disney.com and maybe one other place.

If you are okay with pluses, right now, Ticketmania has the best deals.

Congratulations and welcome home. The only other place that we have purchased tickets besides WDW, the Disney Store is ticketmania.
Enjoy!

Any local Disney Store actually has a pretty good advance purchase price on a 4 or 5 day park hopper.

If you're going to visit disney every year, another option is an annual pass (we only by the regular, not the premium).

We go every winter/spring, but time the trips so that they fall within a 12-month period so that we can use the annual passes for two trips. We don't renew the passes until the start of the next trip after they expire--that way we get another two trips. Am I making sense?

For example, we visited in April 2003 (our 2003 points) and February 2004 (our 2004 points). We bought annual passes last april, and used them again in february. We are going in February 2005 (our 2005 points), and we will renew our passes when we get there, and use them again for our November 2005 trip (with our 2006 points).

I think the break even point is 8 days on the regular annual pass, so if you'll get 9 days in a twelve month period it works. We like only paying for tickets every other trip. We drive to florida for the trip we buy tickets, and fly for the trip we don't have to buy tickets. It works for us.

Just a (long-winded) thought . . .

That's the best bargain I know of: the AP good for two+ trips. In our case, we're buying APs in November (5 days), going again in April '05 (10 days) then over Columbus Day '05 (5 days); so 20 days on the AP costing $392.99 per adult after tax (kids': $334.41).
Buying these at the gate lets you hold on to you $$$ yourself pirate: until you are actually using your passes, since no advance purchase discount. I addition, we're aiming to take advantage of AP discounted rooms one of the April '05 weekends and maybe go Poly or AKL concierge.
I think after '05 tho, we're going to take a bit of a break :faint: from WDW, stay at Vero or HHI perhaps, then hit it hard with APs again in '07.
:sunny:
That's the great DVC discount on park passes: you know you're gonna be back, so you can easily hit the 8 day AP breakeven if you time things right.::yes::

:wave2: thank you to everyone for the help! counting the days til we leave!!! one more question-- what is the difference in the regular and premium ap???

Regular includes the 4 main parks (MK, Epcot, MGM, and AK).

Premium adds Disney Quest, the water parks, Wide World of Sports, and Pleasure Island.

Both include free parking at the parks and numerous discounts on dining, shopping, tours, etc. More info at Deb Wills' site
