I have been reading a lot of bad reviews on 1900 Park Fare for dinner, and now I am a little worried I booked it. I normally take the good with the bad, but lately it has been alot of bad. I changed my ressies to go here, mainly because I thought it would be fun with the Stepsisters. I will still go and see for myself, but would love to hear a few good things to make me feel a little better. I realize that everyone has different experiences, I know there have been a few restuarants that people rave about and I have a hard time understanding why. I would just like anyone to tell me some things you do like about it. We have a 4:30 pm ressie, will characters be out that early?
Thanks for you input.

I don't know about the negative reviews about 1900 Park Fare, I haven't read them, but we ate there about two years ago, and I didn't see anything bad about it. Food was typical WDW buffet quality and the characters were good (if you like Cinderella). It was very crowded and we had to wait for a while for our table, but other than that it was a good time. With a 4:30 reservation, crowds shouldn't be quite so bad for you. And yes, the characters are always roaming around, no matter the time.

Go and have a good time, and be glad you aren't having to take out a loan to eat at CRT! :)

we were there for dinner a couple weeks ago and it was definitely different than last year. The buffet area is different and the food has changed, it's not as good anymore! not as many choices. The only reason I would go back is for the character interaction. The stepsister interaction was fantastic!!!!

We ate there about a year ago, and I was not impressed. No one else with me seemed to have complaints, but didn't have any raves either. I ended up eating their raisin bread, egg rolls and strawberry soup. These things do not really go together, but it's all I liked from their buffet. I remember trying several things, but those were the only things I liked.

We ate their 10 dasy ago and it was my DH favorite meal of the trip. he requested to go back there too. Mind you he is a picking eater. I thought it was good. Not as good as Le Cellier or Coral reef but good for a buffet. We also went to Chef Mickey's & Crystal Palace and I liked as much as those. My DD wasn't thrilled about the mice & Fairy godmother not being there anymore. But the Stepsisters and lady Tremaine were very funny. Also lots of the girls got up and danced with Cinderella and the Prince. They also played music and danced with the Evil Stepsisters. It was pretty fun.

If you're going for the food, you will probably be disapointed. However, If you are going for character interaction, this is a fun place to go. We had a blast!:yay: The stepsisters steal the show. They are hilarious!:rotfl: Anastasia was afraid of my ds(4) Mickey Mouse that he brought to dinner with him. She actually got up in a chair- screaming in horror. This scared him at first, but then he played along. The stepmother came by saying that we shouldn't bring rodents to dinner.:rolleyes1 They were in full character and kept us laughing the whole time. And they were always looking for husbands- so funny! Anyway, we had a good time, the food was eeehhhh. Wasn't horrible, wasn't wonderful.

Did you see any of the little girls in princess outfits? We're doing the Park Faire dinner on our next trip and my DD LOVES to dress up princess-style. I wasn't sure if that's something they do at this meal, (like they do at CRT, often.)

We did 1900 Park this past May and we all enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. When we were there it was Cindy, Prince, Mice and Fairy Godmother, it sounds like the characters are different now but I am sure it will still be tons of fun!

My husband and I both really enjoyed the food, as well as our kids. Nothing out of this world but definitely good. We actually thought they had a nice selection of items. Maybe it has changed in the past few months, I don't know.

I would give it a try.

Have a great trip!

I am mainly going for characters, my kids are much older. Actually, there not really kids anymore (17 and 20) but they are kids to me. I thought the Stepsisters sounded fun, too bad about the food. My family can usually find something they like at a buffet. I am kind of lucky, I have allergies and usually the buffets will cook something different for me so I can eat. Thanks for all the replies so far.

We thought the same thing. I would go back for the stepsisters, they were a hoot!

My GDD dresses up for this--lots of little girls do this--she will feel like a princess herselfprincess:

Can anyone tell me about the atmosphere and decor since the refurb.? I've only seen pics from before... and I wasn't crazy about it. It sorta reminded me of a glorified cafeteria.
