during this Labor Day weekend? I plan on going out to find some Birthday gifts for family. Nothing big planned since I just had to buy a Fridge two weeks ago.

I went to Macy's with my additional 20% off coupon and wound up finding 2 work shirts and 1 casual shirt to wear with jeans for the fall. I spent $30 and thought I did ok.

Famous Footwear is having a buy one get one half price sale. I bought 2 pair that were on sale or clearance.

We bought some new living room furniture yesterday. Every furniture place is having sales.

If you have a need for men's suits, Macy's has buy one suit at 50% off get one suit free. I take advantage of that one pretty much every year. Also used 20% off coupon as well.

Found a sun hat I wanted to protect my increasingly sun-sensitive skin. I was looking all over for the best price and ended up getting 35% off at Sierra Trading Post. They are now part of the TJ Maxx family, so I used my TJ's store card and also got some rewards points. Also made sure to click through the Delta Skymiles shopping site to get miles.

I ended up getting almost everything on my pre-trip buying list! I got 2 hats, 2 pairs of Teva's, a Frog Toggs chilly pad for myself and my boyfriend got a Colombia SPF shirt and a sun hat too. I didn't save money per se; I never intended to get 2 pairs of sandals or two hats. However, I paid pretty much the same amount for 2 of each as I would have for just one.

Shutterfly has 40% off everything this weekend, plus free shipping over $39. I wanted to order a blanket for my mother for Christmas - I've been watching for a deal at various sites for a while now, this one was good enough for me to jump.

DD wanted a high end tote for her Christmas gift this year. She found a Dooney and Burke for 298 at Nordstrom. I searched the web, found it on luggage pro .com for 252.00 then found code laborday for 25.00 off. I then went through ebates for 4% back and luggage pro doesn't charge the 7% nj sales tax. I am feeling very proud of myself today.

I had intended to buy a new washer and dryer over the Labor Day weekend but there were no good sales; in fact, the lowest price on the pair I want was $400 more than I routinely have seen it on sale over the last year. I may try again on Black Friday.
