They are few and far between on here it seems!!

We have an ADR for Donalds, and I am worried now, because I can't find many positive reviews for it!!

Please tell me some good things about it!

We are just back and did Donald's. I thought the food was good (typical breakfast buffet fare.) And we all thought the characters were quite rushed. Overall it was good and we were glad we did it, but it wouldn't be at the top of the list. (I had read about the rushed characters before we left.)

We love LOVE Love Donalds
We go almost every trip
THe food is yummy & never feel rushed
Last time I got up for food & missed Mickey -they brought him back for me :cool1: at the end after every one else had their turn

We try & get the earliest ADR as possible

We have eaten there in the past and loved it. We get great character interaction time with the kids and they don't seem to leave until the kids are done. We have enjoyed the food on the buffet and they are always refilling items and keeping them fresh.

We thought it was great. We had a late breakfast time, around 10:00 and it was perfect. We got in the park at opening time, rode a few rides, then ate. It was not rushed or crowded at that time either, the characters took their time at our tables.

Another vote for loved it! We went in January. I thought the food was very good, and the characters where great. We arrived for the first sitting. We are going back in September.

I think different people have different expectations. If DS gets a high five, and a picture with a character, I'm happy. They don't need to "hang out" with us. They did not dance with them, like they do a CP, but it was still fun for us.

The food is not BAD, but the layout of the place is just terrible. Makes for such a crowded, conjested experience.

We go every year. It is my DH's favorite breakfast.:goodvibes

<---Do I really have to tell you how I feel? I'm not sure what breakfast food people seem to think is missing here, but there is a ton of variety. Everything from breakfast pizza to Krispy Kremes. And we've had a blast with the characters. It is the must do meal.

We love Donald's. We felt the food was your standard breakfast fare. We have had great character interaction. We go everytrip my boys love Donald and he always cracks them up.:donald: :donald: :donald:

My DW and I eat there every vist to WDW. We love it and the food is super. We took my DW niece 2 years ago she was 6 and we where afried she would not eat. I never seen a kid eat so much fruit and eggs in all my life. Oh she had a donut to LOL. We are going back to WDW the 3rd of Oct and yes you guessed it we will be eating at Donalds. We get the early ressie 8:10 am. To all who have not tryed it is worth the money and a great place to eat. Ask for JW for we have had him 3 times he knows us by name now. He is super. :cool1:

My family loved it last year when we ate there... we booked a late breakfast at 10:20. Wasn't crowded at all, got lots of character time, and everyone loved the food.

DS was 6 when we went and he loved it. He asks every year to go back but his crazy Mom wants to try every place so she want take him back yet. The food is as good as any other breakfast we have done (Chef Mickey's, O'Hana's) and the characters are rushed but I find that true at all character meals. Lots of kids to see so they have to rush.:)

see, there's it's a character meal so you have to consider the characters and the meals.

for the food.. it's not as great a selection as say crystal palace or park fare. i wasn't that crazy about the quality either, but i suppose that comes and goes. but there are meals with less of a selection (ohana probably had the slimmest selection, but the food was really good and it came to you).

for characters... first, for the donald lovers, this isn't the only character meal donald shows up at, he's also at chef mickey's. there's nothing particularly special about the selection of characters here (for example, CP is usually the only place you'll find piglet and lilo can sometimes be a challenge to find outside of best friends and ariel only has legs at princess storybook, etc), other than they are in different outfits, as is the case for all character meals (for fab 5 anyway)

the layout of the restaurant is tough. it's sectioned off completely and they seat section by section. there's a perk however in that you're almost guaranteed character interaction because they give you ample time to get food before the characters are marched in, something that's not guaranteed anywhere else outside of ohana (because it's family style). but they do tend to march the characters through giving enough time for a photo and a signature. it's not the best character interaction for meals.

some people also like the perk of being in the park before it opens. this is a clear advantage at MK for example where you have all of main street up to the castle to roam and take pictures. the problem with DAK is a lot of the time of the year, the park closes while it's still light out, so if you just wait 10 minutes after park closing, you can take plenty of shots without crowds in them. so this is not a reason i see for doing this breakfast.

so to summarize, it is my least favorite meal of the bunch, but as i've said before, it does seem to appeal to those that either (1) have this as their first character meal ever and (2) have later seatings.

i will tell you from doing many character meals at the latest seating is that it's very hard not to have good character interaction. the restaurant doesn't kick you out, the characters don't go away and as the tables dwindle, the less restrictions they have.

very good food very very very very very very yummy.

the charictors spent alot of time with us my sister who was like 1 or 2 at the time pushed donold away from her she didnt like them at all.

We ate there 2 years ago and made sure to make ADR for this August. The selection of breakfast foods is terrific and I enjoyed everything on my plate(s). DD15 is a very picky eater and she asked to go about again. My vote is definitely .... YES!

We will be eating breakfast there for the 3rd time in August.

LOVE IT! Great food and fun atmosphere. I have older sons and they were thrilled to get some non-princess character interactions for a change.

Tons of variety and because it's a buffet you are able to take it slow or pound down the chow and get going!

I too love Donalds. I was there last October and got in about 1/2 hour before park opening. It was just my friend and i there (both 20 year olds)

Our waitor was AWESOME.

Food was GREAT!

goofy missed us, but we just let our waitor know and about 5 minutes later he came on over, being sad or something and took a little longer at our table.

I had no complaints about the layout or anything. I loved everything about it except for the lighting... it can make picture taking a little tricky if you're in the wrong spot...

here are a few that we took...
