I know from reading these boards that good Italian food is rather scarce at WDW, but how about a good penne pasta? Looking for a place that offers a variety of sauces, seafood, veggie, cheese (Asiago) or herb pesto.:scratchin

You won't find anything like that on WDW property. You'd have to go off property to an Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill or Carabba's to find something like that. Good Italian (or even decent IMO) and WDW, just doesn't go together. We always eat off-site in WDW if we want Italian food.

I believe I had the shrimp penne pasta for lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In a little over a year ago. I remember enjoying it, although I thought it was rather pricey @$16.49. It is still listed on the menu at All-Ears.

Portabello Yacht Club at Downtown Disney. That is our favorite restaurant. The meal starts out with bread and fresh, warm buttery garlic for dipping, and also a sample of complimentary house wine. It is fabulous -- the food is wonderful, we always get a pasta dish. I read somewhere that the pasta is home-made and it is very good -- try it!
