Any good Nintendo DS deals?

My mom is looking for one for my nephew who is 9. Basically he wants to play Pokemon. I'm seeing DS is $80 with a game. DS XL is about $150 (Pokemon version is $160). And DS XL is $180. She doesn't do Chase pay or Amex offers. Am I missing any good deals? It looks to be excluded from Target 15% off Cyber Monday.

My 9 year old has a 2ds that he got last Christmas and he is happy with it. Santa is bringing his 7 year old brother a 2ds this year. It was $80 and included Mario Cart game, which my 9 year old loves to play. I haven't seen them lower than 80 for a new one so I went with it.

I was planning to use the 20% coupon at Target for this, but maybe I need to go read some fine print. this makes me nervous it's excluded from the in-store 20%.

I think it is (Nintendo hardware). The 2ds xl Pokémon edition was the only ds on sale during their cyber Monday sale.

I went and got the 3ds xl from Walmart for $180. Went through topcashback and paid with chase pay (csr) so I saver her about $30.

Bummer. I guess I'm still better off with the 2DS than a sale on the 3DS since that one starts out at least twice as much (and DD really doesn't care about which one).

Yeah, the basic 2ds is an incredible value IMO.

The 2ds is a lot cheaper than the 3ds, probably $100 cheaper. Of course my son wants the 3ds XL, which runs around $179. I have seen the 2ds for $79, big difference. He said the 3ds games are better.

Yeah, the basic 2ds is an incredible value IMO.

Especially since we have a bunch of games already (DS has the 3DS and as far as I understand most of the games are playable on the 2DS, albeit without 3-D but he almost never used the 3-D anyway). So little sis can get a ton of playability from a relatively small investment. I would have loved the extra 20% off, but I won't quibble over it either.
