My son is having a joint grad party with two good friends so I need gift ideas for them and also for three other childhood friends( all boys). I know I can give money but I wanted to do something more personal. I had some ideas but my son vetoed them. One Mom already did personalized picture frames and photos so that is out. We are invited to several girls parties and I picked up really nice grad photo albums at Target for $9.99. We can't attend all the parties so I thought it would be nice to give a small gift anyways. With all the relatives and friends we are needing around 10 gifts so any ideas would be appreciated.

If they are going off to college, what a about a pre-paid phone card?

I just gave one of my best friends a really nice photo album and journal. I bought them from Marshall's for about 3 dollars each. I have to say, they are really nice and the actuall retail value was about 24 dollars each.

if they are going off to college, a nice laundry bag with their name on it and some towels with their names or initials on them are always helpful.

This may not be helpful since you need 10 gifts..... I got an MP3 player, and a PDA for 2 different grads. They love it! And actually use it for a while.

When my DD's graduated, our neighbor gave them a plastic storage box with things in it that they could use in the dorm (a pillow, instant coffee, an insulated cup). I have made that idea my own by giving the box with towels inside (one each: bath, hand, washcloth). The box comes in really handy when they're packing up to go to college!

I just had this conversation with my 2 nephews who are in college(Freshman and Junior). They suggested a bucket with showering supplies. They both said it's easier to get to the communal shower area if you have a bucket you can just keep everything in and carry it all with you. Laundry bag was a good one. They also suggested office supply store gift cards, WalMart gift cards, Target gift cards(whatever of that sort of store is near where they are going to college).

Thanks for all of the great ideas! My son is now helping me decide what we should get for each kid.
