We leave tomorrow night. I’m concerned about the gas situation on 95. We get on 95 just south of Columbia, SC. How’s the gas situation from South Carolina to Orlando?

We are driving down today from Maryland. Stopped for gas right before NC line, again in Georgia and now in Daytona. No problem whatsoever finding gas.

Hi Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I am planning on making the drive down in August from Northern Virginia. What time did you leave? I'm originally from NJ and have never driven and keep hearing about the Richmond traffic. What is the best time to leave to avoid it? Thank you!

I've driven down 95 from DC to NC dozens of times and have never experienced significant Richmond traffic.

We leave from Southern MD using the Nice Bridge. Richmond isn't really bad and you can use the bypass. We left at 430 in the morning on Saturday and traffic was fine. Takes about 12 or 13 hours. We found packing a lunch and snacks sav
es time. Just gas breaks and bathroom breaks if needed.
