Sounds like some great choices. Are you on the DDP?

Maybe Rainforest Cafe at DAK or you could take a bus over to DAK Lodge and try Boma. The food there is quite different, but if you have adventureous eaters, then they will probably enjoy it. Your sons would love to see the animals again from out on their observation deck.

For your last dinner, may I suggest Cape May Cafe at the Yacht/Beach Club. You could walk over or take a boat from Epcot. They have a wonderful seafood buffet, but many other choices like chicken and ribs as well. Last time I was there, they had a pretty good selection of foods for kids too. Try the Oreo bon bons, they're to die for!

Have fun eating around the World!

We're trying lunch at Garden Grill in June too! Looks good! While we prefer lunch at the Crystal Palace on our MK day, the Plaza looks really nice too - very relaxing! And, if we didn't have a FDP scheduled for our MGM day, I'd definitely make an ADR for Sci-Fi which seems to be a fun restaurant in a great setting!

If you're looking for a place to eat on Thurs (your lazy day), maybe try one of the restaurants on the Boardwalk or at Downtown Disney. For counter service, Earl of Sandwich is wonderful at Downtown Disney!

On your AK day, I'd suggest Flame Tree BBQ for lunch. It's counter service but so wonderful! The food is great, and the seating by the water is just lovely. Just last night, our family was having a "Disney" discussion (the closer we get to our trip the more excited we get, you know! :teeth: ), and I asked everyone what their favorite restaurant last year had been. And DH said Flame Tree.

For dinner on your AK day, you could try Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We really enjoyed Boma last year! The buffet has plenty from which to choose - even enough for the pickier eaters. It's fun to try the more exotic flavors too! I had some kind of African soup which was amazing! I also really liked a tomato dish that I tried, and the peanut rice was yummy. But, yet, there are also selections like steak & potatoes & chicken fingers & mac & cheese on the buffet for the less adventurous eaters. My kids loved all the fruit & the different African breads. The Zebra Domes are delicious! We got there early & walked around the resort looking at the animals. The AKL is beautiful, and the CM's are so friendly! Boma was the perfect ending to our AK day.

You could also try the Rainforest Cafe at the AK. It gets mixed reviews, but it looks like a fun restaurant for kids. (It is not a restaurant on the dining plan, though.)

Chef Mickey's a great restaurant! Your kids will love the atmosphere. We've never been there to dinner - we always go for breakfast on our last morning.

On your last evening, if you want to eat at a restaurant in EPCOT, you could try Coral Reef. I think your kids would really like the setting. The tables are all positioned where you can watch the fish (& sharks & sting rays & turtles) swimming in the aquarium. And they have some fun desserts on the menu for kids. The food normally gets mixed reviews. We've never been, but only because I can never seem to fit it into our plans. (This year, our EPCOT restaurants are Garden Grill & San Angel Inn, but I'm thinking about switching Garden Grill for Coral Reef.)

Or, you could try one of the World Showcase restaurants - Le Cellier, San Angel Inn... Le Cellier has a good kids' menu w/ some more fun kids' desserts, and I think kids would like the atmosphere at San Angel Inn. Marrekesh w/ the belly-dancer would be fun too as would Beirgarten w/ the band.

Be sure to check out the menus on allears.net! And have fun deciding!!

On my *full day* at AK, I will be leaving around 4 to get to the GF (bus) for dinner at 1900 park faire. After all, we wont have seen a single princess all day. Other than my own (and maybe Poccahontas) :teacher:

On my departure day (around 3pm usually) We'll have a nice big lunch at Flame Tree or Tusker House :wave2:

but is it hard to get from boma to CBR??? at night

Depending on when your ADR at Boma is, you could probably ride the bus from AKL back to the AK & then get on your resort bus back to CBR. Doesn't the AK close around 8:00 pm in the summer?

If your ADR at Boma was later & the AK is already closed by the time you're finished eating, you could get on a bus at the AKL going to EPCOT or MGM & then, from there, get on your bus to CBR.

I don't think there are buses that go from resort to resort - just back & forth from parks to resorts. So, from the AKL (Boma), you would have to ride a bus back to one of the parks & then get on your resort bus back to CBR. Please someone correct me, if I'm wrong! :)
