My sister wants to get one of those home microdermabrasion kits that are being sold all over the place around here.
Does anyone know anything about them and whether or not they work?

She's a typical 18yr old freaking out over her complexion.

Not that I haven't.
Has she tried gentle cleanser and baking soda? That is a good physical scrub. The AHA's and the BHA's are good chemical expholients. AHA's are good for sundamaged skin. The BHA's are good for blemishes and keeping pores clean.

She's tried that mixture and while it helps her skin now, she still has some scarring from a few years ago that she wants to clear up.
A friend of hers went through microdermabrasion at the Dr's office for a scar she got in an accident and it worked wonders.

My parents aren't about to shell out $$ for her vanity :p But they will buy her one of those $40 home kits if she wants it and it's safe.

If she tries it, let us know how it goes. :)
