Any experience with Mickey's Backyard BBQ??

We've done Hoop-de-do in the past but thought it might be fun for the kids dd6,dd5 and ds3 to try Mickey's Backyard BBQ. We are going Dec 4th-11th if that makes a difference. What characters can we expect - other than Mickey of course? How's the food? Is it a show or more of a party? Thanks.

I went in '04 and I remember the food to be good. Ribs, chicken and such. We enjoyed the music and dancing and at the time my boys were 7 & 3. I cannot remember which characters were there. Sorry I hope you get more info. I would say though (and I have never been to WDW in Dec.) that the area is completely open so I would not want it to be too cold.

I believe the characters were Mickey, Minnie, Chip an Dale I think. The food was good. It's a show and a party. There is dancing with the characters and a rope trick guy. It's fun. I don't have kids so it isn't something I would do again unless I get some but it was a good time.
