Any experience with a late character breakfast buffet?

During our upcoming trip, we have a 10:30 ADR for Tusker House, and a 10:50 ADR for the Cape May Cafe.
Since breakfast is only served until 11:00, my questions are:

-Will the food still be 'fresh' at my scheduled times?
-How long after 11:00 are you allowed to stay?
-Does the character interaction end promptly at 11:00, or will they stay until all of the guests are gone?

If anyone has any experience with this, I sure would appreciate your comments.
Thank you!

We did a very late almost 11am at Cape May in Oct and it was awesome, very fresh and wonderful food. We just did a Chef Mickeys yesterday, 10:30 and stayed for almost an hour and the food was great and fresh too!

We had a late adr at TH in Oct. and got to sample both breakfast and lunch. The breakfast was just as fresh as the lunch and both were delicious. The characters had a short respite in their rounds (and you could see where lots of people had cleared out) then they came back around. We were seated late due to the restaurant being packed that morning and the manager came by and encouraged us to stay for lunch since we got there so late for breakfast. Very good service!:thumbsup2

Absolutely fresh. We saw them fill things at 11:00 AM at Cape May. Plus you get a lot more character interaction with a later breakfast, since most folks go earlier in the day. When we were there, I'd say we ended up with about 8-9 tables full of people by 11. Needless to say, by the end we were like "OH GREAT, here comes Minnie - AGAIN!"

Same thing at 1900 Park Faire. Tigger and Pooh hung with us for about 10 minutes - nobody else to talk to.

Both meals we had 10-10:30 reservations and I wouldn't do it any other way. Characters stayed well past 11, I think about 11:30. I've never seen anyone kicked out, but they did start cleaning up and re-setting the tables for the next meal. As long as you don't touch the lunch, you're fine. If you decide to hang out longer and try the lunch, you'll be charged for it.

We have scheduled late breakfasts at both 1900 Fare Park, Crystal Palace and Tusker House. We reserve as close to the last ADR as possible. The crowds are much smaller and we've never had a problem with the food quality. At 1900 Fare Park, Tigger stayed at our table and had a seat to play with DS (19months) and DD (2). At TH, is was busy when we were seated but as the crowds left, the characters spent more time with us.

Only piece of advise I have is to request the guest check at the beginning of your meal (when doing buffet). At Crystal Palace, we had to wait for our server to deliver our check and he was busy prepping for the next meal. So to save time, ask ahead of time.

We've done an ADR as late as 10:45 for breakfast at the Crystal Palace and everything has always been plentiful and fresh. We did a late ADR (10:30) at Cape May Cafe this past September and most of the stuff was plentiful, but I did notice that a few of the items did not seem to be replaced as it got closer to the "switching" time.

I did not have quite the same experience.

I hate a late ADR at Cape May last October, I want to say 10:45 a.m. The food quality was quite good, so I do agree with that part.

As for us, the character interaction was kind of poor. We had to ask for some of the characters to be sent over.

It may have been an off day, or the fact that we were just adults. I would definitely still go back and try again though.

Thanks to everyone for your responses.

I have a similar situation with 1900 Park Fare. We have an ADR for dinner at 8:20 (they only serve until 8:30).

How is the character interaction this late? I know that sometimes Prince Charming will dance with Cinderella. My DD would love to see this.
Do you think we'll miss it, due to our late ADR?

Thank you again.
