any emergency personnal here,have buff pagers?

hi all,
so it was my b-day yesterday and dw got me one.It's on the way.what did you pay for yours and per month.If you don't know what it is and just wanted to know i will explain.

buff pager-is a beeper/pager that only recieves text messages,certain people that work for this company listen to emergency channel scanners like,NYPD,FDNY,EMS. and then page you with the text of whats going on in the nyc area.like 66 police sgt is calling a level 1,in reguard to 4 confirmed people shot at this location. or FDNY captain of the 33 batt is reports 10-75(1 alarm fire) at location heavy smoke and flames,possible 3 people trapped or BREAKING NEWS SMALL or LARGE plane crash at so and so.
the media uses these at lot,as well as emergency personnal in nyc to find out whats going on in the city.ever see a fire truck or ambulance or police car flying by and wonder where or what there going too,this pager tells you.

so if you have one what did you pay for it and how much monthly,or am i the only buff here.

BTW, a buff is a person,that works in emergency services that must go to every big or hot job or know about it.

I'm no buff but my best friends are

I refuse to get a buff pager- I just set my Minitor 3 on county (suffolk county NY) if I want to listen to anything more than my department.

Some of my friends have the buff pagers (or a regular pager with buff capabilities )
