My DM and I both missed Friday's episode of ED. Did anyone see it and can tell us what happened???

TIA

Melinda

I heard a rumor that it might be cancelled.

OH!!! I hope not. We love that show. Anyone have any info???

Melinda

Ed had to decide between Frankie and Carol. He had finally decided that what he thought was love for Carol was just a childhood fantasy and he was choosing Frankie. He had lots of flashbacks of his and Carols time together the past two years.

He went in to the office to tell Frankie his decision --- behind closed doors. Then he met Carol to break the news to her

He explained that he thought their relationship was just a childhood fantasy to him and he had decided to choose Frankie. He then explained his flashbacks to the past two years and how they made him realize that it wasn't just a fantasy -- it was REAL LOVE and they had to be together.

They ended with a big kiss and fireworks in the background.

I hope the show returns --- I want more now that they've finally gotten together!
:D

Ed had to decide between Carol and Frankie as both of them gave him an ultimatum. He had made up his mind went to tell Carol he was chosing Frankie but couldn't find her. Everywhere he went looking for her, he'd have flashbacks of all the times they'd spent at the places he was looking.

He ended up back at the bowling alley and Frankie was there, to say goodbye since he didn't give her a reason to stay. He and Frankie went into the office so he could tell her his decision. Meanwhile, Carol called someone in the bowling alley on a cell phone. Ed came running out of the office, asked if it was Carol, got on the phone, and told her to stay where she was, he had something to tell her.

He chose Carol.

Also, Mike almost had an affair with a college student. I hope the show is not cancelled :(

My teen did not want the show cancelled either. She took the time to write a letter to NBC to express her concern. You may want to take the time to do the same.

I hope it stays on the air, now that the whole Carol/Ed thing is resolved. They could go with the quirky "Northern Exposure" type show. (Beside, Chris Isaak was on an episode, I'd like to see him become a regular, considering his Showtime series will probably be canceled after the upcoming "season"!)

A network moving a show to Friday night is often the kiss of death - an indication of what is to come. Viewership is just not that high on Friday nights...

I *love* Ed, but missed this episode. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see it. Especially since, it sounds like this might be enough storyline "closure" for NBC to feel comfortable cancelling it.

This wasn't the last episode of the season though - right?

It was the season finale and, potentially, the series finale. That's why I watched. I got interested in it in the first year but they lost me during the Carol/Dennis thing. This is the first time I've watched all season.

And what the heck is up with Ed's hair...extremely distracting!
