Any durable DS cases other than Nerf

I got my ds8 a DS Lite for Christmas and would like to get some kind of protective case for it. He is allergic to latex and has had anaphylatic reactions to Nerf frisbees and footballs, however he can handle the darts from the guns fine. I looked at the Nerf case last night and it appears to be made from the same material as the footballs - which would be fine if it never got a hole in it and exposed the foam inside. Any ideas?

My experience with the Nerf cases is that my DSs hated them. They were too bulky. Combined with your allergies I would avoid them. Can he use silicone ones?

To be honest, we could never find anything they liked. We just went without anything on our DS. We are getting DSi for Christmas and they do feel lighter/more fragile than the DS. I bought silicone sleeves this time around.

I have really liked the backpacks. Your son is older and maybe just work on him keeping it put up when not in use in a backpack to avoid unnecessary tossing around.

I have had great luck with this Hard Plastic Clear Case for the DS and DSi. The one for the DS lasted longer than the DS battery did. It stays on without any problem and it feels just like the DS and doesn't add much bulk. It is very easy to put on and it absolutely does protect the system. When we got a DSi, I made sure to order one of these cases for it immediately. I love it and my DD9 does too. One of the extra bonuses is that you can still see the color of the DS through the case.

I got my kids hard plastic ones from Target (plain clear, hannah montana and flowery pink) and they loved them. Bonus was that it kept the Ds's in perfect condition so I resold them on ebay for only $30 less than I paid for them a year ago!

we bought a hard plastic one, I think it was the Intex one.....it was at BJ's for I think 19 bucks and it includes a game.
