Any doctors out there - I can barely open my mouth

Well, I have felt a bit better today. Pain is still there, but not as severe. In any event, I went to my doctor to get checked out. He ruled out swollen glands or lymph nodes. He concluded that it looks like TMJ, but called it something else, and says it's most likely been caused by coughing and or grinding my teeth.

In any event, he prescribed me with Indomethacin, which he forewarned me, is a VERY potent drug, but does the trick. Said it may very well upset my stomach, but it would get rid of the pain.

Geez - I just turned 30 a couple weeks back. I can't wait until I get closer to 40.

At least the weather was beautiful today.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I should count my blessing as in general, I'm a healthy person. Just not used to pain or being sick. Makes you thankful for what you do (or don't) have in a weird way.

Glad to hear there's an improvement.

If you do grind your teeth, you can get a nightguard from your dentist. This will protect your teeth from getting cracked, which will happen if you grind them too much. It's better to get a nightguard as protection rather than dealing with a crown as repair work.

Hope you're 100% better soon.

I have TMJ. It is always aggravated when I have any type of sinus issue. It normally hurts just below my ear. Sometimes, it will hurt down through my chin. Not fun.
