I read something about a piano player at the cotton co-op lounge in Port Orleans-Riverside. Also can you eat there at the same time? What time does he start? I would put this on the restaurant board but I thought DVC's who go a lot might consider this a secriet place they like to frequent? Thanks

Indeed I have heard very good things about this. I have never been, so I can not help with the details. Have Fun!

I have stayed at Dixie Landings 4 times and love it! I believe the piano player is named Bob, and he is very entertaining. He really gets the crowd going! He even has a CD for sale in "Fulton's General Store" (next to the lounge).

I'm not sure exactly what time he comes on, but I would say around 9pm. You can call the Front Desk for exact times (407-934-6000).

The following information is taken from Deb Wills' site (http://www.wdwig.com/faq_dxl.htm):

The River Roast Lounge (was Cotton Co-op lounge), adjacent to Boatwright's, is themed to a cotton exchange/trading room. A full bar is available, as well as light appetizers. Live entertainment is provided five evenings a week. The lounge is normally open until midnight, and smoking is allowed. During football season, the bartenders at the lounge have been known to don referee's outfits, and many of the games are shown on the lounge's big-screen TV. Monday Night Football is celebrated every week with games, trivia, and drink specials.

Recently people have been emailing WDW and the resort itself trying to get Bob back. One of the responses posted on this site indicated that they did hope to do this. Your best bet is to call the front desk at Riverside and ask them. He is excellent. Kids and adults both just love to sit there and PARTICIPATE. Evidently he was a casualty of the cut backs and is still playing somewhere else in Orlando. But, one person posted that they emailed him and he indicated he would like to get back to Riverside. So, who knows.
