Any Disney Hotel Discount for DVC Members?

Would anyone know if DVC members receive a discount off WDW rooms? We need somewhere to stay for the first few days of our 2 weeks at WDW in August. (We are new to DVC and are having 6 days at Boardwalk Villas and then 5 days at OKW. So excited!! Thanks for your help.

DVC members can get a 25% discount on cash nights at DVC resorts, not regular WDW resorts. Those discounts are subject to availability, as the rooms come from member (point) inventory, not CRO inventory. If you are staying for 2 weeks, you may do well to consider an Annual Pass, and passholders do often receive discounts at regular WDW resorts.

Thanks Chuck - we do have annual pass vouchers to exchange in August. Would we have problems if we booked a room now and then tried to change to any available annual passholder rate? Could we do that?

I think that's how most people do it. You can book a room to assure a reservation and then watch for discount codes. Asking for an AAA rate will guarantee that you at least get that muchh of a discount, providced you're an AAA member. Make sure it's a room-only reservation, and not a package. Then when the codes come out (check Mousesavers, or here, I'm sure), just call and ask them to apply it. They'll tell you that you need to present a valid AP at check-in. I've never been asked for one, even under the Best Rate program. Even if they do ask, you have 24 hours to validate your AP and present it.
