Plannin on doing US in Dec. Staying onsite at Disney. We would like to gander on over to US for a day. Is there any place that tickets are cheaper? I know the price is going up next week. Not sure if Ill be going this trip or not, the price is a little high for us, but if I could get tickets somewhere cheaper, it may be a possibility. I do have a relative that lives in FL, would she be able to get me tickets cheaper?

Online is usually cheaper than at the park. AAA sells discounted tickets. There are other places that discount multi-day, but I don't know about single day tickets. A FL resident cannot buy a ticket cheaper for you because they check for a valid FL ID at the gate.

Prices already went up a couple of weeks ago so the one day one park ticket is $82.00...just like Disney. You might want to check with AAA for discounts but one day tickets aren't usually discounted that much...they want you to spend more days and therefore spend more money on the multi-day tickets. The PP was correct about FL residents buying tickets for you. You used to be able to do that but not any longer.

There is a thread going on the Florida board at TUG (Timeshare Users Group) about the current Costco deal:

"I live in Virginia and just noticed that my local Costco has 3 day Universal Orlando tickets for $135 each. According to the package, they expire in 2013, are park-hopper tickets (so you can go to IOA and US on the same day and it only counts as one day of use), and do not have to be used on consecutive days."

Good deal for 3 days, and these do NOT expire until 2013 - days do not have to be used within 14 days of first use (confirmed by a couple of other posts); that is the main advantage over Mousesaver where pricing is similar. Not available at all Costco stores and not available online, but seen in VA and TX and a couple of other states.

We've been discussing it here too:
