Hi. Does anyone know if there are any discounts available to rent golf carts at the campground? We are AAA members and AP holders. We rented one a couple of years ago and loved running around in it, but it sure is costly!

The only discount is if you rent a week or more. I believe we saved about 10% in April, but I'm not positive. I think it was around $380 for the week.

If you have a way to pick it up you can rent one off property and bring it in.
I rent 1 every year from Golf Cart Enterprises in Wintergarden, FL. I usually rent a gas powered 6 passenger with a windshield for $235/week plus $50 trailer rental (round trip). This works great for my wife and I and our 4 kids and it is significantly cheaper than renting 2 carts from disney.

Now this time when we go it will only be my wife, I and our 3 year old DD. So I rented a 4 passenger gas golf cart with a windshield for $165/week. I won't need the trailer this time because a 4 passenger will fit in the bed of my truck so I will swing by and pick it up on my way into FW.

By the way I always rent a gas powered one so I don't have to fight over the outlets around the fort. Plus there is no extra charge for the gas one from Golf Cart Enterprises. We only use about 1/2 of a tank all week so you never have to worry about filling up. You also do not have to fill it up before you return it because your rental includes 1 tank of gas.

Here is their info:

Just give them a call and tell them that Todd Frailey referred you.

Good Luck!

FortWildernessFan,

We were thinking about renting an off-site cart but was wondering about getting it out of the bed of the truck. Does FW have a location to unload it or do you just use ramps? Usually we have been able to find a hill or mound of dirt but wasn't sure where one would be at FW. Thanks for any info.

I use my 4 wheeler ramps that I bought from Lowes for $129.
