Besides the Fort this is our favorite, favorite, favorite place to go. We were engaged here and got married here (actually at the Great escape Lodge!). Discounts for Great Escape are everywhere, you can got tickets at the local hotels for a cheaper rate, or you can get season passes which really are not that expensive. In the heart of Lake George village there is Shepards Park, where they have family night one night a week in the park, they have concerts twice a week, and fireworks once a week. We will actually be going the last week of July. There are plenty of places to play mini golf and get some great ice cream. There is also fantastic places to eat ( we love Adirondack Pub and Brewery) and the best part is kids are welcome every where you go. Tell them to have a fantastic trip, we know we always do. Where we do the Fort every other year, we do Lake George every year!
