Any difference in general noise level between BWV & BCV???

Can someone who has stayed in both places tell me if one resort is generally noisier than the other? I know BWV has the Boardwalk, and BCV has some rooms with road noise, but that aside, is one resort generally quieter and more peaceful than the other, or are they both about the same?

Thanks!

Both resorts are quiet when you have your balcony doors closed, with the exception of a few BWV rooms that are very close to nightspots on the Boardwalk. In terms of the impression of hustle and bustle, which is more a matter of psychology than acoustics, BWV seems "louder."

I think the attitude at BCV is quieter. It's away from all the action. The lobby is quiet. The halls are really pretty quiet. The quiet pool is even quiet.

BWV is in the midst of all the action. If you get a Luna Park or BW view, you will have a bit more noise. The quiet pool is a quiet, but not as quiet as Dunes Cove pool.

IMHO, at the BWV, it depends almost entirely on your neighbors - if you have quiet neighbors, you'll have peace and quiet. If you have loud neighbors, you won't! I bet it's the same for all the resorts!

FWIW, to us the most bothersome noise is from other guests on the same floor - not the noise from buses, cars, parking lots or driveways, and not the noise from the pools or the Boardwalk. Even with balcony doors open, that type of noise doesn't seem to bother uys much - guess it's because we're city dwellers, LOL.

What really bothers are loud conversations in the hall (especially early in the mornig and late in the evening), running in the halls and of course, the "my goodness, what could they possibly be doing next door?" noise. Most of the time, we've had good luck with neighbors.

Best wishes -

Just back from a stay the BWV and we were lamenting the fact that we weren't at the BCV. We did have a second story 2BR villa that overlooked the themed pool, so I'm sure that impacted the general noise level, but there doesn't seem to be an easy escape from the hoopla at the BWV. IMHO the BCV are just a bit more off the beaten path, and therefore they're quieter.

I agree with CarolMN. It really depends on your neighbors. We recently stayed at BCV over looking the quiet pool. It wasn’t very quiet in the evenings until around 11:00pm. We enjoyed our stay but I realize the noisy neighbors were probably DVC members and could easily stay at any DVC resort.
