This year Wayne managed to locate great prices for our holiday this year flying from LHR and into Miami for £429 however we had to change and fly from Glasgow.

Wonder if anyone has managed to find a bargin for July 2012 dont mind flying from London or Manchester but prefer Glasgow. Loooking to fly from 21 or 22 for min 14 nights but really wanting 17 or 18 nights.

We're looking for flights for late April and can't find anything less than about £660 each.

Significantly more expensive than we paid for Easter this year.

:scared1:

Just priced up BA and they wanted over £1000 dont they realise that there is a recession and know one has the money anymore.

We're still looking for April 2012 but the flight prices are a joke - £1100 EACH for the cheapest dates we would consider, £2700 EACH for the dates we would have liked. We would also consider July as an option but the second the school holidays start, the prices go through the roof :sad2:

I've been looking for July 2012 as well. Remember, flights from mid-July aren't out for most airlines yet.

But I have found Virgin flying out of Manchester as cheap as anybody at the moment - flying out on 4th July, 3 people for 2 weeks came out at £634 each (£1902 total).

I am looking for a 3 week stay, so waiting for the flight prices to come out for that length of stay still.

Haven't been able to find any really cheap indirect flights to make that worthwhile - could have got an indirect from London via Boston (I think) for £100 cheaper overall, but for that money it just isn't worth it.

Even the low cost operators (like Monarch and Thomas Cook) don't work out much cheaper (if at all) once you start adding in the costs of baggage etc.

I think that the constraints here are oil prices. At the end of the day you have to make money, and the high oil prices are limiting any potential price reductions. The only bright spot is that with the oil prices coming down, costs of flights might also drop. At least that is what I am hoping. I have noticed that Virgin flydrive prices have dropped a bit over the last couple of months, possibly due to that.

Last night I managed to find Virgin direct flights (MAN to MCO) for April 2012 for £519 each. We now are travelling a day earlier than originally planned, but are quite pleased with the price. Even got some Quidco cashback too.

Have always travelled indirect with US Airways before, so this is a first time for us to go direct. we are Virgin Virgins! ;)

Flew with Virgin for the first time this year and was very impressed with their service.

July 2012 will be the first time we are not flying with VA the prices have just gone too high. We have booked 2 weeks in early july flying with thomson from east midlands for £578pp including 3 case for the 4 of us-hope they are OK

After normally going out of season I and looking at the prices you have all been quoted I am dreading the prices for august:scared1:Prepared to go indirect though but dont want a 15hr flight back:scared1:Dont mind going out.

I will be happy if I can it for around £650 per person.

Will, I had a quick look end june to go mid July and there were a lot of indirect flights availible.Looking at the shortest return flight including stop overs AA was the cheapest at £545 from manchester which for last minute I didnt think was too bad.Its a gamble waiting I know but there are deals there if people are prepared to wait.Anyway I am sure wayne will be on the case asnyway for you.
The last August trip we went on we booked our flights in the march with VA as they had the easter sale on .

We are looking to go around the 21 July from Glasgow but are considering all airports. Awaiting prices being released from Virgin. We are going to stay again at BWV then onto HRH maybe Vero then back to BWV.

Im sure you will be proud owners at DVC when you return home. If you are paying by CC your deposit you will get Interbank Rate which is better than tourist rates so hopefully save you a few pounds. Have a great time.
