I have Dish Network right now and I am thinking of converting to Direct TV as I hear that they are better. Anyone have experiences with Direct TV? Good customer service?? Any deals right now??????? TIA!!!:goodvibes

I've had it for a few years and I love it!

I've never lost my signal, even during bad storms. Definitely get your service through directv and not a third party. I initially got mine through a third party and they didn't install properly and Directv came out and fixed it.

If you check out their webpage....this is current offer if someone refers you

I've had no problems with DTV. The offer going is a great one, find a friend who uses the service. :)

Also if you sign up with At&T for dsl, phone and Direct TV they were offering money back $125-$150 on the Direct TV as well as $50 AND$75 on the At&T.

Here are some threads you may be interested in reading before proceeding:

On the 2nd page of this thread, posts #8 (contains an important web site link) & #20 (former employee) are very interesting:

There are of course other threads that may be more positive.
Also, folks with positve experiences tend not to post.
At any rate, food for thought

I haven't had any issues except recently my local channels (and Ive had them for a LONG time 7+ years) went out...they are scrambled...well anyway they want $70 just to come out (like another OP said on the other thread) which I refused and we just bunny ear the local channels in my bedroom....sigh...ah well what can yah do? For us it is cheaper then cable.
