Any Darkness fans out there?

oh no dh and ds will be dissapointed, they both love the darkness, but we dont go till dec, hope they make a return visit!! susie

OH!!! We saw them at Knebworth - they are so cool. Unfortunately we're not there until September. Rats.

Where did you find this info Deb?

I've been to the Hard Rock web site and it doesn't say anything about it. It's probably behind the Gloucester news division. ;)

Another question - Is the venue over 18 only?

Tam pointed your post out to me and then said 'You can go if you want, I'm not bothered'.
She was probably a bit grumpy because the blanket fell off her knees and her false teeth are playing up.

Kev!!!! Are you trying to kill me?!!!! I've been trying to post a response to this for 10 minutes, but I can't see through the tears!

I found the info on Pollstar. (If anyone wants to find out what's on at HoB, you need to type Lake Buena Vista, FL into the search box.)

Shania Twain's on whilst we're there, which got Matt into quite a lather, but when I told him Darkness are on whilst we're not there, he started sulking. Not quite sure what to make of that...

Sorry, forgot to mention that it's open to all ages as far as I know. It's a really great venue - small and intimate. And for Grannies (like Tam :p ) there's seating on the balcony (we got front row for Poison, Cinderella, Dokken and Slaughter). Downstairs (standing only) is for the kids (and Kev).

Let me just check, oh thats right, we land on the 5th June, cant wait for the tickets to go on sale;)

Thanks for the info Debbie, you may have supplied the final link for an excellent holiday............:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks for that Deb, I'll be looking out for the tickets to go on sale.

The only trouble is we will have to cancel our night out at the Adventurers Club for this. Oh well, you can't have everything.

The Darkness rock!!!!!

India likes 'em too, so maybe I'll take her along.

Kev

Wooh! We won't be there then, but I'd love to see a good band on one trip.

The nearest we got was being one day adrift for the Beach Boys a couple of years ago and Davey Jones at the Epcot Garden thingy this month. Okay, okay - not quite in the Darkness league, but it would have been something .....
:rockband:

A bit hard to please are you, Hil? ;) The Darkness may be the thing of the moment, but I think they've got a long way to go to get into the Beach Boys' league ::yes::. Isn't Pet Sounds one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time?

Oh and, Steve, I've just noticed your header - very good! :teeth:

excellent stuff, shame I'm not there til December! I love the Hard Rock Live, such a good venue - I saw Queens of the Stone Age there last year and they were awesome :Pinkbounc

For anyone who's going to get tickets and see the Darkness here, good going....you'll love it!!

A bit hard to please are you, Hil?
LOL, Deb! :teeth:

I quite agree about the Beach Boys being a classic act (and I do have Pet Sounds in my meagre collection), but I'm not completely convinced that the Beach Boys on tour in 2001 would be the same as the Beach Boys circa 1968 - but I would have loved the chance to be proved wrong ;)

Myself and DH love the darkness::yes:: I can't believe were not going till September It would of been great to of seen them over there of all places:rockband: :cheer2:

it really is a great venue! we saw Slipknot there in March, and Stone Sour last year:) Cant stand the Darkness myself but hope you have a good time Kev!:)

Is anbody considering going to watch The Darkness on the 7th June, I keep an eye on the Hard Rock Live site, but they dont mention this gig yet.
Took a look at the Darkness site and the gig is there. It appears that tickets are on sale from 5pm (UK time?) 7th May, I imagine through Ticketmaster, but again their site mentions nothing yet, perhaps its a secret, shhhhhhhhhhhhh.:smooth:

DarknessTickets for Hard Rock Live 7/6/04 now on sale through ticketmaster at $24, got mine last night see you there!!!!pirate:

We're over then, and would love to see the Darkness, but what can we do with the kids 10 & 8 - would anyone like to volunteer to babysit???
