We're going for a quick 2 day trip to hop around to the parks and don't want to waste any time sitting down to TS meals if we can eat good food on the run. Any suggestions? We don't want burgers, fingers, fries, etc.

Kringla Bakery/Norway/EPCOT. Great sandwiches, and lots to choose from for dessert.

Also, the CS in Morocco is pretty good. Enjoy!

I agree with jenwolgey. Most of the pavillions at Epcot have very nice CS menus to choose from. Morroco was especially enjoyable.

The food choices and new format at The Land in EPCOT was really nice. And the portions are very large!! Just about any CS in the World Showcase is interesting and offers great food without the burgers/hot dogs/fries choices.

I really enjoyed Yakatori House in Japan at Epcot. Beautiful terryaki sauce on the pork and yummy sushi, the smell was fantastic.

Of course the patisserie in France where everything is oh so yummy, rich and satisfying.
Try snacking around the world showcase, its a lot of fun ;)

Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.
I'll second that- DH said the grilled salmon was better than at most TS restaurants! It comes with yummy green beans as well (also comes with another side, I think either rice or potatoes :confused3 ).

I think Columbia Harbour House in MK is very nice as well as most of the CS spots in the World Showcase. AK and MGM are kinda lacking in good CS restaurants, IMO. I haven't tried Tusker House yet, though.

Rotisserie chicken at Tusker House. It comes with yummy mashed potatoes and crispy green beans. Even my picky kids LOVE this meal!

agree about ak tusker but we also thought tangerine cafe and sommerfest in epcot( morrocan and german) were a cut above most cs and french bakery there is a must for us.

Here are a few of my favorite CS restaurants - ones that offer good food that's different than typical CS food:

MK - Columbia Harbour House
AK - Tusker House
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons in the Land and Tangerine Cafe in Morocco
DTD - Earl of Sandwich

:wave2: Another vote for Tusker House. I think it's better than alot of the TS restaurants.

At Cosmic Rays in MK, you could get roast chicken... Counter service is usually just that, though, something fast and less expensive. Other than the huge food court at The Land in EPCOT, and in WS, each country has something different to offer. (ofcourse, you could just live on ice cream, bakery treats, and candy shop goodies for a couple of days :rotfl: )

LOL - I could have written that word for word - Except I would have Tied Wolfgang Puck Express with Earl for DTD.

Another vote for Sunshine Seasons at The Land! I went there two days in a row just for their salmon. Quite an improvement over previous CS at The Land. I would also agree with Tangierine Cafe in Morocco.

We go at the end of January and DH is already talking about going to Wolfgang Puck Express. He *LOVES* one of the sandwiches there.

I personally love the CS in Mexico. Their combination plate is pretty good. I also vote for the food court in the Land. Oh, and in AK, the Chakranadi Chicken Shop (you can get chicken stir fry and pot stickers there)

If you like middle eastern food, Studio Catering Company at MGM is really good. The chicken saffron stew is incredible. Here is the menu:
