Any "convention widows" 1st week of May??

I'll be in WDW 5/4-7 alone, DH is at a conference at the Convention Center. If there are any other "displaced convention spouses or significant others" out there let me know & we can meet up for a snack or a ride!

I'm new to these boards (this is my first post). I'll be solo at Disney from the 2nd to the 9th. Currently, I have a reservation for Lunch with an Imagineer at 11:30 on May 5th (HS, at the Brown Derby). Care to join me? I just made my ADR, so I'm pretty sure it's still available.

Hi Glencora - welcome to the DIS! HS isn't on my itinerary this trip - but your lunch sounds amazing - please be sure to post back & tell us all about it! If you're still solo at night on the 6th there's a DIS meet at 7:45pm at the arch at the entrance to Japan in World Showcase in Epcot. We're going to have a drink or snack, and then watch Illuminations. A lot of DIS-ers identify themselves by wearing the color lime green, or by displaying lime green Mickey heads (LGMH), which are paint chip color samples from Home Depot. So if you see someone with a LGMH on their shirt or bag don't be afraid to walk up & ask if they are part of the DIS Boards! I'll be wearing a lime green polo shirt that day (My plan is to bein Epcot all day long on the 6th) - so if you think you see me please say hello!

I'll be sure to be on the lookout for lime green! I have an off-site dinner planned for the night of the 6th, so I don't think I'll be able to make it to Epcot then. Maybe I'll see if I can change the date for my dinner. Have a great trip, and I hope to see you there.

ASUG/Sapphire Convention at the Orlando Convention Center 5/4-7

There are thousands of rooms booked throughout the Disney & Universal properties, and some offsite, just for DH's company. We're offsite this time but have been placed at Corondao, Swan & Universal previously for this same convention.

Thanks Tara for the bit about the lime green thing. I have seen alot of reference to lime green but wasn't sure exactly what it meant. I will have to see if I can come up with something lime green, probably not a whole shirt but something. I will be solo the 5th and 6th in Epcot and maybe MK just not sure yet, dont think I will make the meet though. I will look to spark up a conversation with someone if the opportunity arrises. Of course with my luck I'll probably end up walking up to people randomly wearing lime green and they wont have a clue what I am talking about but oh well.
