Any comparison between summer crowds and Thanksgiving crowds?

We went to WDW this summer (mid-June) and did not find the crowds to be bothersome. We used a touring plan, fast passes and rope dropped every day. Do you think the Thanksgiving week crowds at DL will be similar or much worse (will be in parks 11/22 through 11/25 - leaving Thanksgiving day)? Just wondering what to expect. We are tied to school calendar and can't go during low crowd times anyway. Thanks!

For Thanksgiving week I don't believe that the crowds will be much worse vs. the summer. The crowds are worse during Christmas break. If you do the same things you did on your last trip, you should be fine. Although, I don't know how the Diamond celebration will affect the crowds, as I have heard the celebration may continue until next summer.

I posted the below on a similar thread:

My friends were there Sun to Wed last year and she said it was crazy busy. I remember checking Mousewait and it was in the high 90th percentile for wait times, which is very rare. Here are some numbers from Touring Plans that may help you get a sense of what to expect:

You can take this year's predictions with a grain of salt, since I think they are vastly underestimated. I would look at the 2014 actual numbers and possibly expect crowds to be a little higher given the 60th anniversary.

So, I would expect it to be very very busy, especially the Mon and Tue. Get there early though, and the first two hours won't be bad at all!

Remember that inclement weather is likely to keep the locals away, so it's more likely to happen in November than in the middle of summer.

It's hard to say. Thanksgiving week is crowded, but very managable, even nice for the first hours in the morning. Last year summer (late June) was less busy, however the same week this year was more crowded than I've experienced. A lot of that has to do with the 60th anniversary stuff. It's hard to predict what this holiday season will be like when you add in the 60th offerings. That said, if you start early (EMH or rope drop), you'll be just fine. I also find the crowds not as bothersome when it's not so stinking hot out! (for reference, we've gone Thanksgiving week for the last 3 years and summer for longer).

I have looked at WDW for which days to visit which parks for this week through 11/26 but I am wondering how they compare to touring plans?? Glad to hear morning hours are manageable :-)

Are you going to DLR or WDW? You posted this on the Disneyland board, but talk about your trip to WDW. You've received replies about each area from different posters. I think we're all confused.

Sorry, I edited my post to be more specific. We did visit WDW this past June, but are going to DL in November. Thanks for the replies so far!
