Any comments about Donald's Breakfastauras

We will not go to Donald's again, I much prefer Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's for a character breakfast.

My feelings exactly. The food at Donald's was cold, characters rushed, and the atmosphere was worse than a food court. Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's are so much better, plus AK has a couple of the best counter service restaurants of all the parks. Eat a quick breakfast in your room, and grab an early lunch at Tusker House or Flame Tree BBQ.

I just went last week and I am a huge Donald fan so I was really looking forward to this breakfast. I would rank it mediocre at best. The set up has you taken into the restaurant in groups, each group seems to go in the same room, then pretty much all the characters visit each room at once, rushing from table-to-table. The characters that were there were Donald, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy. Both Donald and Mickey skipped my table. There were parties from other rooms that were lining up in our room to see Donald too - I assumed this meant he missed their table too. I felt like they tried to be organized (going room-to-room) but it just didn't work.

Food was okay - nothing special. I hit the buffet line at a bad time as it was in need of replenishment, yet no one seemed to be replenishing!

Service was good, friendly and attentive.

what time did you go? I am worried now. Is it good to go right at the beginning? We have an 8:00 a.m. I am hoping it will be good. The characters at Chef Mickey's will come back if they missed you if you tell your server, do they do this here too?

we have always gone to the last seating of the day and enjoyed fabulous character interaction and above average hot fresh delicious food... waitstaff is outstanding as well... we were not brought in "in groups" but rather they called each family individually... maybe the protocol is different for the earlier ps' than it is for the later?

Donald's is alot of fun and the characters move fast, also I found it to be very dark inside-- I could barely see my food-- I didn't expect that.

Hated it and won't ever do it again. There are so many better choices around WDW--select something else.

This was an 8:30 seating (I'd say we were called between 8:40 and 8:45a). Each server would call in between 5 and 10 parties at a time and seat everyone at once in the same room. I'd never eaten here before, I just assumed the "groups" thing was to control the flow to the buffet and the flow of the characters.

hmmm...now I'm thinking about changing our 8:00 ADR on our last day of our trip....I wanted to end the trip with "a bang", but from the mixed reviews about this place, I'm wondering if I should go with somewhere a little "safer". :confused3

I've been three times and always enjoyed it. We've never been missed by characters and always had attentive, and two times, very funny wait staff. The food was fine, and I really like all of the details on the walls of the restaurant. I've never felt rushed, and last time we were given the option of getting more coffee to go, which I appreciated.

I think different people have very different experiences, but we've never had a bad one.
